Speaking of athleticism Anthony Randolf is much more athletic than Landry, can run the floor very well and has a much higher ceiling than Landry.

Randolf mainly play at center position. They can co-exist on the court.

I think Landry is a perfect fit for the warriors' system. He is an offense genius, and he doesn't need to play defense there. He could be a star in that system.

Unless the Rockets are making a major trade involving Aaron Brooks, I don't know whether the Rockets would be taking a PG at #11 (especially if Rubio, Flynn, Curry and Holiday are already off the board). Brooks and Lowry are both as good as the PGs that will still be available, with the possible exception of Jennings (who is still 1-2 years away).

I would like to see the Rockets target Earl Clark. He is the kind of SF/PF with length (6-10) and ball skills that the Rockets have been after for years. As I've said before, he reminds me of a young Lamar Odom. He provides an element that the Rockets just don't have. And for those who don't think he's a "Morey kind of player", look no further than the Rockets' (eventual) draft pick last year: Donte Greene. Greene was a 6-10 freshman chucker who was raw and had some concerns about his work ethic. Clark is a superior overall talent to Greene, as he has much better ballhandling and passing skills and is much beefier and can rebound the ball at a high rate.

The only players with more upside than Earl Clark in this draft are Blake Griffin and Ricky Rubio. He's got a higher ceiling than even Brandon Jennings and Demar DeRozan.

    Go get him, Morey.

randolph isn't a C, he's more a PF/SF much like an Andrei Kirilenko type and has a definite higher ceiling than landry.

I remember Randolph played at C when the warriors played us last season. But, either way, Landry can play C in that system. They can co-exist.

btw, if randolph is more a PF/SF, they will need Landry even more. ;)

Undoubtedly, Amare will be an upgrade for us.
If I were Morey, I will do it in a heart beat as long as we don't need to trade Scola.
But I don't have much confidence about the chance of getting this trade down.

You know the warriors are not a traditional team. They play small ball. Landary can play C in that system. In fact, I remember Landry even backup Yao for a while in his first season.

btw, Randolph is 6-10, he definitely can play C in their system.

the question is would they rather have jordan hill who's a better prospect or landry who's more proven at this point but lesser ceiling. i'd think they go jordan, but i dunno..

Still doesn't make sense. Randaolph is just as athletic, maybe even more. Why would they want to add another PF?

Landry was big part of the Rockets success last two seasons.

    Why trade him?

Just trade Brian Cook or Brent Barry or James White.

They both can play C in their system. Plus, Landry is an offense genius. He would be a perfect fit for their system.

I don't think many teams want to part with their Lottery picks to pick up Brian Cook at $2.5 million per.
