I agree this is a good pick. Someone for EG to compete directly against.

man, vitale was driving me crazy w/ all his anti-globalization crap!!! it's like he has a personal vendetta against foreign-born players. i guess he just feels threatened that there's beginning to be a bunch of good players being drafted that he knows nothing about, and hence, has no "expert" opinion to give.

No, we just speak the truth.

Many of the 2nd rounders were announced by name only, and there were many picks that were skipped over, leaving you to check the bottom line for updates. Almost every pick from 40 on (with a few exceptions for the ones that didn't interrupt ESPN's interviews) was done in the same manner.

A lot of teams passed on him because of his excess bagage. Which ever team would have picked him, they would have to have waited at least 1-2 years before he could even join the team. There is also the fact that he is possibly lying about his age. He could actually be younger or older than what was stated. (01-01-84, seems kinda fishy?) Maybe he is younger? He wanted to get into college so maybe he lied about his age, and he is actually only 11? Eh, I can dream can't I?

Well, we will get a chance to actually check this guy out at the summer leagues. He stated some where that he is really excited to play in them.

ESPuNk'd didn't show our pick... so, what else is new. When did we all of a sudden command respect from fans and the league? It has always been this way!!

Some people have no love for our Rockets!! :(

The reason I started the thread was to vent my anger because like a lot of people have said we watched the whole time waiting for our pick and when our 10 seconds of fame was upon us it was a commercial. I had no idea who we picked and had to look everywhere to find it. I just wanted the same amount of time everyone else got and I think our draft pick deserved it also. I dont think ESPN meant to do it, but they never even went back to analyze right away like they did for everyone else. As a houston fan I think we have the right to be annoyed and vent our anger. Its not the end of the world but it was annoying

Why would you watch the whole thing waiting for the Rocket's pick? The 1st pick was around 6:30 CDT. You should have realized that the first round would take at least 2 hours and the Rockets would not pick until after 9:30 since they were in the middle of round 2. The info was on the Internet within 5 minutes of the pick being made. It was simple to click on the NBA draft section on espn.com, click to round 2, click on his name next to the Rockets and find some bio info.

I watched the whole thing because I am a true fan, I like to see whats going on around the NBA. So if it bothers you that much that we are complaining that ESPN didnt show us the pick then dont read the damn post, I am not asking for your approval to watch the draft if i want to, get a life man

You should of taped it like I did and did something else useful rather watch the sorry teams get their prototype picks...

Let the season roll on and we'll see if these picks are worth it...or are they going to turn out like Jay Will...

I find it difficult to get excited about a no-name player picked at #44,

If he is a solid backup 12 minute per game player in 2 or 3 years, I consider that a bonus, and will consider this a good pick.

I too was annoyed that not even him name was on screen.
I had no idea who we even picked and the 5 second clip of him on
    the podium didn't help.

So I went to ESPN.com and read all about him.

You want info, you don't watch it on TV, you read about it online!!!!
You also don't have to listen to obnoxious commentary!

Yeah, ESPN purposely did this. They knew how much time each team was going to take 1-43 and planned a commercial break right at 44 just to piss you guys off.

This guy's as much of a bum as the rest of the second round. Listening to nbadraft.net is like depending on a 5th grader to do calculus.

Interesting that someone who watched a 4-5 hour draft and is upset that ESPN did not show the Rocket's pick (2nd round, number 44) would tell me to get a life.

So does this mean you are judging me, considering that you tell me to get a life because I judge other people and considering that my "brilliant comments" offend you?
