Well, then the thread title should be changed to reflect that. It should be changed to "[ESPN Blogger]" or something like that. "[ESPN]" gives the false impression that it's an actual news article.
*chiming in* i don't post often but i've been reading for a few years now..... what gets me is this......we have all these need to trade TMAC threads....quite tiresome..... we are hitting an easy part of our schedule and our role players are stepping up. It's the same thing as when the cavs went to the finals last year.....the way gibson was playing for them was nothing short of a miracle as compared to how he's playing now.....same thing with varejao, etc.... then you look at us......they say it all the time about rafer is now hitting his runners, hittin his shots.....luther head and yao's field goal percentage has taken a drastic turn for the better....etc....imagine if they were doing this before.....before tmac got injured.....didn't rafer have just as many open looks......just as many drives......just as many passes......etc? wasn't the general outlook of rafer was "0"-fer?.....and we wanted Tmac to take more control and more shots? i say it firmly that our team is infinitely better with TMAC,....we just need to find that point where our role players play like they are right now and Tmac is able to contribute on the court instead of in a suit off the court...
You know, on second thought, Blinebury just convinced me we don't need T-Mac. It's pretty simple. All we go to do is find a way to play Memphis, Toronto, Orlando, the Wizards, and the Knicks 6 out of every 8 games from here on out. Oh, and also get Rafer to shoot 47% from the field the rest of the way.
I assume you read past the title and the actual article and from there, with all the quotes and context coming from Fran, it would have clued you in that it's a blog. www.truehoop.com
It's a fatal flaw in this BBS. There has to be a scapegoat. It's like there are so many people around here whose lives cannot be fulfilled without demonizing and piling hate on someone, and T-Mac happens to be that person this time around. And I think it's unfortunate that there is very little policing/moderation done to at least attempt to control thread quality. You know things are bad when even RealGM's forums are looking more intelligent and bearable than ClutchFans.
When Yao was gone, Tmac "carried" the team. When Tmac is gone, the team has been carrying itself. But I agree, the situations are not the same. Gotta give TMac a chance. We can be sooooo good if everything gels.
LMAO. "JoethePirate" gets national exposure!! How slow is the NBA these days when bloggers are quoted in national publications? Please, Kobe rape someone! Artest, will you please beat your wife again or punch a fan or stop feeding your dog! Ruben, please molest another babysitter! The league needs some more "traditional" storylines so these guys don't have to actually write about basketball because they suck at it. Please, someone give Rafer a box cutter and a fifth of Goose and send him out to Pub Fiction!!
