Don't you know? It's the DDQ modus operandi. Argue all sides of an argument, then you're always right. Some folks are geniuses in their own minds... The same DDQ who questions McGrady's heart when talking about real physical injuries, won't even put his pride on the line to help others. Prideful, Da Drama Queen: stop feeding his ego by responding to his tripe.
wow, i mean wow. i can only assume you kids arguing about how great tmac is and has been are too young to recall tmac before he was in a rockets uni. he and his cousin are incredibly similar. they are mentally soft, unmotivated, and just happy to cash paychecks and get accolades. i hate to say it, but DD is right. tmac style of play isnt SELFISH per say, but it dominates the offense. that would be ok, if not for the previous mentioned deficiencies. the most important stat for mcgrady is how many times out of the first round? look at AI as well, an incredibly talented player, but demands the ball to be effective, and then ultimately unable to get far in the playoffs, except for when larry brown was coaching. LB, like JVG, designed the WHOLE offense around the "superstar" and had a dominating defense. both coaches were able to utilize their players well, but could and would have NEVER won a championship. this team is BETTER without tmac. that is a fact. tmac has never been a superstar. he could score in bunches, but never win consistantly, and THAT is what makes a superstar. lebron, wade, kobe, those guys WILL their team to victory and are most successful when they play a team oriented style.
mcgrady has no heart, just a mushy ball of wet tissue paper. injured? more like looking for excuses as to why he cant take the pain and play ball. he is a sissy. i can get a doctor to agree with whatever i want him to, all i gotta do is INSIST that i am hurt. xrays and MRIs be damned , SOME doctor will agree...especially if i give em a blank check...
i still play team sports and it is pretty obvious to me that tmac is the reason this team cannot make it out of the first round as long as he plays.
Oh go challenge some oompa loompa to a game of tiddly winks. I am not always right, just mostly right. Fair enough, but I said led, not played. DD
Are you flipping kidding me? I said he didn't fit on a TMAC team, and he has been struggling all year. But now that Tmac is out of the equation, he fits ok.....come on now...stop making stuff up. SHEESH ! I have said enough, the guy is getting surgery, we are not going to agree, you and I are looking at the team completly differently, you think the season is over, me, I think it is just beginning. DD
Pretty funny when people say pro athletes have no heart. To get where they are at they have to have some type of heart. Especially a guy that has been injured a lot his whole career. But yeah he has no heart. Until you are that person it's hard to judge them on what type of heart they have.
oh ya! your right! they would NEVER dedicate all that time and effort for the millions of dollars and fame, huh? heart is very easy to measure. reed playing on a busted foot. bird and jordan playing monster games with the flu stuff like that is how heart is measured.
I guess crying after a playoff loss doesnt show heart. When Kevin Garnett crys infront of America people dont question him. So what if Tracy doesnt show heart by showing his emotion like a Garnett. How people question his effort when you watch him play during the playoffs is mind boggling. When people are calling Kobe a less selfish player than Mcgrady it doesnt make you laugh inside? At worst none is better than the other at being unselfish, but I still believe Tracy is a better passer. Though to get on the threads topic this team is very capable of being just as good as they were with a healthy Mcgrady because of Artest. Artest is more efficient and plays better defense. This team can make noise in the playoffs and still have a better chance than anybody at taking down the Lakers. Yao is to big for Gasol or any other center who takes Bynum's spot. Our guards are to quick for Fisher to handle. We have Battier and Artest to contain Kobe and Odom as much as they will be contained, and have two power forwards who just get after it. Dont let this Mcgrady injury get you down.
Tracy dropped 40 points in game 6 against the jazz with a knee and shoulder that needed to be surgically repaired. Know more about what your talking about.
Last time I checked athletes were not born into whatever sport they play in. They had to work there to get there. Plenty of people who had a lot of talent but couldn't focus enough to make it big.
i'd like to give the guy a break now since he's going under the knife. however his effort in the regular season games and playoff games has been very different; and that could be a problem. and kg crying? i never believed for a single second, just like i never buy into his trash talking and chest-pounding. but that's kinda irrelevant...
crying after a loss? no thats not heart, diving on the floor for loose balls, driving to the hoop EVERY play down to make the shot or go to the line regardless of the abuse, and refusing to stop playing defense no matter the results is heart. i been watching tmac since he was in toronto, and i NEVER seen that from him. that fool cashes a check. plain and simple. thats why he is a loser.
if i knew i was gonna get hundreds of millions of dollars to play ball, i would be in the gym all day. its an ego feeding propisition as well. plenty of people could focus enough to make it big, but not enough to win.
HAHAHAHA, yeah, ONE game. one game where he dominated to offense and then choked in the last 4 minutes. WOW! your right! he is sooo dedicated to winning. man, thats about ego. "hey look, i got mine in A playoff game, not my fault we is going home after the first round, AGAIN!"
Growing up playing sports just about everyone thinks they are going to make it big. Everyone doesn't, it's not as easy as you make it seem. As far as comparing him to Willis Reed and MJ, those guys were warriors, everyone can't be like them. Just because T-mac can't take certain injuries like those guys doesn't mean he's heartless. His heart may not be as great as those guys but he definitely isn't heartless. But it's your opinion so oh well.
DD, I completely agree with you here. We finally get to see the makeup of this team w/o T-Mac. The offense runs so smooth and it seems like everyone is on the same page with Adelman's offense. We were able to weed out the ones who didn't want to run it.
Lol, Ive seen Tracy on the floor plenty of times this year. Heck ive seen the guy jump in the stands this year just to save a loose ball. I guess playing defense would be pretty hard on a knee needing microfracture surgery, I dont know? It's true that he seems to play harder in the playoffs but isnt that all that matters. No one cares if you win 70 games in one year if you lose in the first round of the playoffs. And why would Tracy drive to the hoop everytime, not even Lebron does that and he is the one player who is unstoppable when he is heading towards the rim. He doesnt even have that consistent of a jumper and he relies on it most of the time.
i am not implying it is easy, but being over 6'7'', and having the physical talents and enough people feeding your ego, you are better equipped to get to the next level. and for the majority of ballplayers, the paycheck is the goal, not the trophy. sorry, i could mention alot more instances where players pushed themselves to do more under strenious circumstances, the point is, those guys are winners. and they are the DEFINITION of heart. two things that tmac will never know anything about.
