    Mistreated... how?

Kobe won't get suspended, but you're a r****d if you actually believe that Kobe meant nothing by jabbing his elbow backwards above neck level. Even my buddies, who are Lakers fans, admit that

Lakers fans lose all rights to complain about any kind of officiating during any game until the end of this century.

This was 100 years worth of terribly biased Laker calls thrown in to 12 minutes of basketball.

Wow, amazing that ESPN dared to actually say that. Maybe with the noise it makes we can keep the refs a bit more honest in the next few games.

Personally, I thought it was just physical fighting for position, not an intentional elbow to the throat. You know how sometimes you try to hold somebody back with a bent arm to their body but that person drops down and they end up getting elbowed in the throat? In the heat of the moment I didn't see any intent by Kobe and while I do not think Artest should have been called for a foul there, I do not think Kobe deserves an ejection either.

I expect Fisher to be suspended; but not Kobe.. and If Kobe was the one who pushed off Kobe.. I would expect Kobe to be suspended.

If Kobe is suspended for Game 3.. you can expect the Lakers team to be pissed off and it won't bold well for this Rockets team regardless if they win on Friday.

Was that the game where Kobe swung his elbow into a stationary Doug Christie's nose, and it was a foul on Christie?

The difference here is that DH is on the Magic, Kobe's on the Lakers. Rondo threw an elbow at Heinrich, but nothing happened because Celtics or Cavs coming out of the East is more beneficial to the NBA. How is the NFL so immaculate compared to the NBA?

Yes. If Kobe pushed off Kobe, Kobe would be suspended.

Good article. I'm glad SOME members of the media are shedding more light on what occurred between Kobe and Ron and that nasty throat elbow. I highly doubt the NBA will do anything to punish their golden boy, but at least the masses will be aware of it.

If we collided with a parallel universe and Kobe fouled Kobe, then the refs would go catatonic over the call. Do we spare Kobe the foul? Or do we give Kobe his foul? Meanwhile both Kobes would jaw at the refs and wave their arms. Then the two Kobes would fight or kiss or spend the next hour or so massaging their collective ego.

Actually; I won't be surprised if Kobe is suspended for Game 3.. because of the attention its gonna get tomorrow.. and the NBA league office would probably be pressured to hit Kobe with a hard woodstick.

I honestly do not care what you think about the incident.. Fisher's push-off was far worse because he was coming at him.. while Kobe was playing for the ball and with the way Ron pushes off players Kobe had to be more determined to get the ball regardless of what happens to the (Player X).

Stop shouting like a baby... I hope Kobe gets suspended just so fans like you can get a pie thrown on you're face.. when you still lose with a Kobe-less Lakers team.

Lol...Rockets are NOT afraid of the Lakers. I'm sure they can careless if the Lakers are pissed or not.

Rocket fans are not afraid of the Lakers either, all Kobe does is take 30 contested jumpshots. It doesn't work in the playoffs, even if the Lakers beat us good luck beating the Cavs who also have a guy who can score when he feels like it AND play as good if not better defense than the Rockets.

But the game 2 elbow shouldn't be suspension...but the game 1 should be...seeing as how his knee and elbow both hit Shane in the head.

and that game 6 was silly. That's when a lot of people started to really wonder if the NBA is fixed. Then the Donoghy thing popped up and EVERYONE immediately thought about that game. The NBA STILL has not shed this image that it is rigged.

Especially since the Spurs dynasty bought the NBA into Final ratings hell...then suddenly the Celtics and Lakers are magically back on top all in one season.

That pretty much sums up your IQ.

Who do you think you are? If the Lakers is to be pissed off, so be it. We will keep fighting despite all your dirty tactics and referees' bailout.

Normally it probably would not be a suspension on Kobe, which is fine, because its the playoffs, no big deal. But the league did nothing about the dirty play in game one with Battier and now Kobe dirty fouls are starting to pile up.

He should be suspended a game for the combination of both plays. The league needs to start seeing a trend here. There is only so much "incidental contact" that can be ignored. He will probably get fined only, which sucks, but if Artest is the only one who walks away from this with a suspension, I will seriously be pissed.

You know, I don't really mind losing to the Lakers, because they played well, but what gets under my skin is getting punked and losing. I am almost to the point of advocating for retalliation if we are on the verge of elimination. There should be consequences for playing that brand of basketball.

Because we'll take a guaranteed win any way we can. Even if you weren't broke, wouldn't you still take $20 if someone offered it?

My guess is Fisher gets suspended but Bryant won't. However, the refs will be very quick to call fouls in Game 3 to try to keep things from getting chippy again.

This could be to the Rockets' advantage if our perimeter players stay aggressive and attack the paint.

Yeah you are so right. Tell your boy Kobe to throw a punch next time. Game 1: Knee on Battier's head. Game 2: Elbow on Artest's neck. Keep going dude.
