ESPN.com: Yao hires translator for NBA season

    I thought Yao also wanted to get a college education as well. He said when he was young, all he wanted to do was to go to college and become an explorer or something like that.

    That's very true. I am glad you are smart enough to have this pointed out. I also heard the NBA will impose a qualified exam next season. Every player will have to show sufficient verbal and written skill in English in that exam in order to get the clearance to play the regular season games. Ming may not be able to play a single game for us due to this new rule.

    This will come back to haunt us.
