??? Well your editing is a slight improvement over your writing ability. Props man. I do regret I apparently misinterpreted your post, and anytime that happens here I do apologize and do so formally now to you. Honestly, as posts go with genitalia and orifices included I actually did chuckle at this one. And I admit I'm a little sensitive about CD now. I posted about six weeks ago that whatever cheers and jeers he's gotten here and elsewhere I hope he resigns this year. This season may be a train wreck, but I do think we're in pretty good shape - maybe top five - for the (next year) immediate future. CD will never get the credit he deserves here for the championships and it does seem like 70% of the people here don't even know what he did, what was going on or give a damn about who he is. You apparently do. But I do think your original post was mangled (I think I have 150 to 200 like that) intent notwithstanding.
I had hoped you would find it funny and not take it personal. I had no idea I posted anything. When power goes out at work, it is a rough night so my response bore more frustration than it usually would. The first Championship, wasn't Steve patterson the GM and CD an assistant coach. CD handled contracts and cap issues for Rudy(GM) when Patterson left the next season. I could be wrong. I am afraid of the Rox past practices with contracts from the Rudy/CD era. Maloney, Cato, Moochie, to name a few. Did Maloney finally come off the books or is he still backing up to the pay window with a mask on? Cato had one 10? block preseason game, signed a huge contract and the rest is history. I like what CD has done with the team in general. He has dropped the age of the team without dipping into the core. I like Wesley as a guy coming off the bench but I certainly don't want to see the old CD show up and lynch us with a bad contract for a 6 foot (5' 11 1/2") backup 2 guard.
I'm disappointed. Very disappointed. We couldn't move Wesley and Howard? Short-sighted team management.
They probably weren't offering anything good for Wesley. If it's just going to be a lateral move, I'd rather just keep him.
why try to move wesley when he is doing good now and plus his contract expires so if we dont wanna resign him we have some money
bonzi's going to for more than the mle anyway. if rocks re-sign all their free agents, bring in spanoulis, and sign all their draft picks, there's not going to be any open roster spots. not much going in free agency that rocks can use their full mle if they wanted to this season anyway. i'd rather rocks get tiago splitter pf/c in the draft, trade their 2nd pick, take a gamble by signing pietrus's brother a sf/pf who is supposed to play like hayes but with much much better defense. if splitter comes good, that's another rookie contract, and jho/swift become valuable trading pieces.
Yes, short-sighted on making the playoffs. You just don't trade two starters willy-nilly. The ONLY way you trade those two guys right now is if you got something huge in return ...a no-brainer. If you trade those two guys, you guarentee NOT making the playoffs this season. No players step right into JVG's system and become productive. So if you are being long-sighted, who's to say the players they trade will work out? They might get another Slomile Swift that looks good on paper but doesn't pan out. Then we don't make the playoffs next year. In sports, if you have a chance now...you go for it because anything can happen next season and that "anything" probably won't go in your favor.
