ESPN.com: Prior out for season? Cubs brace for possibility

    I never wish for someone to get injured, but I won't exacty be shedding a tear if he doesn't suit up this season.;)

    By the way, any manager in the league would have left their ace out to throw 120 pitches in the stretch run of a pennant drive. That's what he gets paid for. Blaming Baker for working his horse is ridiculous.

    i was doing some trial preparation on saturday with the gameday of the Cubs game on...i could not believe when Baker left Wood in during the 9th. i was waiting for the pitching change...and it didn't come. it didn't even come after wood let 2 runners on with nobody out. he kept him in, and he ended up not having enough gas. he threw over 130 pitches, total, i think. unbelievable.

    complain all you want about jimy. but i'd much rather have a coach who uses his bullpen than one who blows out his starters' arms.

    With Prior out, I agree the Div. is ours, but it wont' be as sweet as it's without their ace...

    Still, winning is winning, regardless of whose up there...

    we lost oswalt for over a month last season....i don't think the division crown was any less sweet for the cubs.
