Burcher still doesn't think much of the Rox chances...

"That said, the Lakers should have enough to get past the Rockets. Coach Jeff Van Gundy has convinced his team that it can win without going through the usual years of playoff heartache, but that would be historic, too. A lucky squad, I suppose, could get it right the first time and execute flawlessly in the face of pressure it never has felt before, but nothing about the unforced turnover-prone Rockets suggests they're the team to do it."

well he's right. we basically shoot ourselves in the foot on numerous occassions that eventually led to losses. if the rockets just cut the TO's by 50%, that would help their cause a lot

and miracles DO happen: 1994 Nuggets taking out the Sonics

Steve's injuries might be a positive. If we can get more minutes out of MJax, that might help us level out some of our erratic play.

Then when Steve plays, he can play w/ more intensity.

    We'll see.

I think it all boils down to JVG's rotation. I hope he keeps high energy guys like Padg and Boki in the rotation. The Lakers are beatable. Much, much more so that SAC or DAL or any other team we would face in the first round.

If we get out of the first round... anything is possible.
