all those of you joining the trade griffin bandwagon for the first time can get off, the wheels just fell off as he's got little to no trade value.

The cut griffin bandwagon though is accepting new members.:(

If it was a pregnancy issue, I would think Van Gundy and CD would be a little more lenient. I also think they would be a lot more open to the public why Eddie skipped than they are. If he's missing due to someone's pregnancy, he doesn't look so bad to the public and his teammates, and his trade value isn't hurt that much. The fact that they, as well as Eddie, are not sharing this information leads me to believe it's something worse.

Also, Eddie no showed last season as well without giving much of an explaination. Did he knock up another girl back then too?

And if the reason is legit? How does it affect chemistry to see a teammate cut for a legitimate reason? Think his teammates might lose faith in management?

Please, for the love of all things Rocket, quit overreacting, people!

We could have traded him for Rashard... oh my.

    I'm speechless, really.

Eddie has already been punished monetarily for what he has done wrong. I will give him the advantage of doubt until he speaks about it.

Eddie, hope you are ok! :(

Isn't it funny when history is written based on selected events of the historian?

Also, another fallacy that you've succumbed to, pgabriel:
hindsight: Perception of the significance and nature of events after they have occurred, most often utilized by hinds. ;)

The fine could very well be for his not "calling in sick" not whatever problem is causing him to do so. Jesus calm down people, no one yet knows what is going on.

The thing is Rockets has already sacrificed so much for him and it's like holding one hundred thousand Enron stocks and seeing the value plummet to nothing.

Not sure how 'valid' his excuse is, but he's clearly messed up.

For his sake I hope he can resolve whatever it is that's haunting him.

For our sake I hope he does this soon and starts to deliver on the potential that had this board buzzing on draft day. I'm backing the kid more than ever now.

What are some of you saying about him already being punished? He missed the flight, was punished and probably came to an understanding with mgmt, then missed practice. No?

He no longer will be coddled, he's no longer a child. He's a millionare who better get his act together fast or he will lose millions. JVG cannot have such a problem when he's trying to get the ship sailing; it's the antithesis of what JVG needs. Makes me wonder if he'll be gone tomorrow.

Yes, we traded RJ, a servicable big, and a project for a project.

Our project has not been able to shoot the ball.

Our project has a minor drug charge.

Our project has not behaved in a professional manner during this preseason, and he is not currently helping the team. Our project may be in some kind of personal trouble.

I think we know what is going on.

Compare this situation to other projects. Did McGrady have this sort of trouble? KG? Someone toss me a bone here. What project struggled in this way and blossomed into something wonderful.

I'll only post this annoying last line once: I was very opposed to that draft-day trade and even after that, Eggie has undershot my expectations. I still hope to be surprised.

so what if hes a problem child of a team

to a certain extent i think its ok..not that im in favor of him to continue this behavior

but it is way too early to tell what exactly has happened it could be reasons that require him to spend more time so he can get his life together

im hoping it is a situation is like that not run-ins with the wrong ppl, drugs, etc

there have been plenty of players who cause distractions to other nba teams many of them superstars but not one of those teams would give up on their stars...ie iverson and wallace are two examples

if griffen continues this trend it will be a different story but right now i dont think we should be going crazy

Although I dont like the senario, I can't find a way to condemn Eddie, without knowing the facts. I must therefore rely on JvG and what he knows and what decissions he made, concerning Eddie. The Rockets could do without all this upset, especially JVG who has a lot on his mind reorganising the Team.

How on earth are you predicting Badiane will have a better career? Eddie showed enough his freshmen year, that the Rox said they would have picked him up if they had the #1 pick. Badiane is a Senegal project that got picked up middle of the 2nd round. Yes, Les is cheap and that's why we didn't pick Shard up, stop crying about K. Thomas and get over it.

Are you serious about this post? This is one of the worst posts I have ever read. "The lower his value, the better off the other team will be?" What on earth are you talking about? GMs will know a couple things about Eddie: Drug problem, attitude problem, not fulfilling his top 10 pick expectations, but has the ability to be good. Skipping out on practices doesn't help anyone, not the team, not eddie, not any other team wanting him. Eddie has shown to be a liability, what team wants that, so how does that help him out.

Sorry to bash you, but some of your posts don't make any sense.

Remember he's 20 years old. He's probably never had a job before this. Take it from me, I'm a personel manager at a small company that hires quite a few younger people. They are clueless.

I'm glad he is out, this gives someone like Braggs a chance. Please somebody tell me what we are missing with Eddie being out or gone for that matter, in my opinion he sucks. We dont need an uninspired 6'10 wuss playing inside for us any way.

What does he bring to the table? Block shots, big whoop Cato can do that and add 45 pounds of meat plus 3 inches, and Cato knows better than to jack up 25footers.

Peace out Spliffin' its been real!!
