I'm sorry but Dirk is a the biggest 7 foot sissy in a long time.

The guy can shoot and has learned to deal with the physicallity of the league by perfecting his flop.

He also can be a rather streaky shooter at times, so all you can do is try to put a hand in his face and hope that he's off that night.

The best thing to do is to take it to him on the other end and use physical play to get in his head. If you watch closely every time his guy rubs an inside game in his face and schools him in the paint, he always tries to redeem himself by showing off his jumpshot. Another way to take it to Dirk is to make him run. He can be seen grabbing his shorts alot when he is faced to defend the whole court...see Dwayne Wade. As the legs go so does the shot.

Our problem against the Mavs was allowing Dirk to half heartedly play defense. If we can make him work hard on both sides of the court we stand just as a good of shot of stabilizing Dirk as any other team.

Its good but I still can't stand that he's such a wuss in the paint. It will continue to be the downfall of the Mavs. Thats why I would just laugh when he acted as if it was always Dampiers fault.

Face it Dirk you' re not really a big boy...you're a 7 foot guard...what has the NBA become?

And for all you who say the Mavs made it to the championship I say, a jumpshot team will never win it all unless there is a Jordan on it.

 

that sissy is going to unfortunately outrebound the living daylights out of Battier for those that keep wanting us to start Battier at the PF.

although dallas lost, for a lot of folks it seemed more like the heat and wade in particular got more foul calls then anything seen before. dallas was very close and was not far from winning it all.

 

Got more foul calls come on they are a more physical team. Everyone knows the team that plays more physical get more calls.

Thats not even funny the way Dirk can't even hold on to the ball when initiating contact with nothing in mind but flopping his way to the free throw line.

It works like it did for thr the jazz but it cheapens the quality of basketball.

Dirk even gets hand check fouls at 7 foot.

How many 7 footers get hand check fouls?

Fortunately for Dirk this is a jump shooting league so since he's afraid of the paint he towers over the other players on long rebounds.

Once again the Mavs will never win a title without an inside presence, and judging by their offseason moves I don't think they realize it.
