He's down to 237lbs? WTF? It's bad enough he doesn't want to bang with Centers in the paint but now he's dropping so much weight he isn't even going to be able to overpower the average PF.

Does he think he's moving to SF or what?

Yeah, I watched the clip. Stoudemire is a jerk.

Probably humbled now though. Hope he gets better, because the Suns should be the model for other NBA teams.

    Absolutely no sympathy for Amare.

I feel happy that justice is served: Amare Stoudamire hoped from day 1 that Yao fails, now he got what he wished, only it's on himself.

    Muahahahahahahahaha...........................

In the same Amarish fashion, this is one of my favorite moment in this long offseason.

So, basically, you're as good as he is now.

I must be mistaken because you guys that are wishing ill will on amare think yao is completely healthy. maybe you guys should chill out till yao actually steps on the court this year.

Getting even doesn't mean I stoop to the level of Amare Stoudamire. If I wished others to fail just so that I can brag about myself, then I was as good as he is now.

Anyone is entitled to laugh at Yao falling over because it's funny, but Amare wasn't just that, he's like he got his birthday wish fulfilled. He took it to another level. The need to prove his superiority surpassed decency and transformed into ill will on Yao, which makes his current failure a classic karma. He deserves what he wished, and he should be laughed at.

I doubt he ever wished Yao to be injured. And I doubt Yao would want his fans to wish injury on any opponent.

Oh come on.. I thought that was one of the funniest moments of the season as well. And unless Amare is Osama bin Laden, I can't see how you are reveling in his pain. You know what made Yao so respected around the league was that despite people being rude and all around assholes to him (see Shaq), he looked past it and now everyone loves the guy.

Not even Yao, the guy who was the target of said laughter, would come close to sharing an opinion as absurd as this. Microfracture surgery sucks and for you to same how say its justified because he got a real chuckle out of a pretty sweet crossover seems kind of wacky. But then again, maybe that's just me.

He may not wish Yao to be injured, but his words show he savors every minute of Yao's failure. He's getting personal at Yao for no good reason.
I'm happy to see that he fails, I don't care about how he fails. It's not about wishing him injury, it's about wishing him failure since he likes to see Yao fail, about getting even with his ill will. The only player I ever wished injury on is Karl Malone, and it's about getting even with him dealing injuries to others on purpose. The key word is reciprocity, returned at the exact amount, no more no less. Unless Amare becomes a humble person and make up with Yao, or come to play for the Rockets for free for repentance, I won't feel the other way. For it would be like pampering a kid who bullies others when he gets beat up himself. Being a bigger man is reserved for BIG, grown up men in my book.

Amare does some nice dunks, but I find his success shadowed by his penis envy towards Yao. He's a loss to the fans of flashy dunks, and I happened to be more of a substance guy.

To laugh at Yao's failure again when he edged out Yao for ROY is really classless and shows his character.

And to laugh at one's possibly career threatening injury shows yours.

I'm laughing at his current state of failure, not the reason of his failure. You are getting the two parts mixed up.

Not explicitly. He said Yao getting crossed over was one of the favorite(notice: not the funniest) moments in his rookie season when he won ROY. Him savoring the moment of Yao's failure so much and choose to rubbing it in when he got the upper hand is clearly a slippage of him showing delight in Yao's failure.

Why can't we just hate on Amare freely, without anyone questioning us? It's like hating on Karl Malone and Jalen Rose and Starbury and Reggie Miller.. I just don't like them as players. :)
