The Knicks get the lead here and then we take over.

Man, watching Robert Horry circa '94 makes me wistful for what a versatile PF can do for a dominant big man.

He he; Starks going 1 for 10.

Is it game 4 or game 1? I already got game 1 DVRed, so I hope it's game 4.

Man, I really want to see games from the 95 WCF. I never see those on NBATV or ESPN Classic.

    It'll be 4.

They're doing all the clinching games.

    EDIT: Or not?

Yeah this is the game where Smith goes nuts and keeps Sam I Am on the bench the whole 4th quarter for the first time in a while.

Oh BTW I miss that NBA on NBC music!

Look at what's happened to me,
    I can't believe it myself.
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world,
    It should've been somebody else.

    Believe it or not,
    I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
    Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

It's like a light of a new day-,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true-.

After watching both of the games, this strikes me:

The Knicks brand of ball in 94 forced the Rockets to play the same way. Ugly.
The 95 Rockets team was just incredible to watch.
How in the hell Charles Jones survived play Shaq is beyond me.
Kenny Smith and Horry were the key to winning that 2nd championship.
Drexler picked his spots perfectly to force his will.

I keep thinking they'll call the 4th or 5th foul earlier on Olajuwon when Shaq goes bulling his way down the lane, but they always call travelling on Shaq... my how times change.

I remember at the time the Rockets called TO after Nick's 4th miss that I knew with as much certainty as one can "know" these things that Kenny was going to hit number 7 and force OT. I still get nervous when I watch it, but it keeps going in.

Great block by Horry at the end of regulation.

I caught the 2nd game on classic. Even though you know the Rockets go onto win, it is still impressive to watch.
