He said Jeffries should be ahead of Hill for playing time. LOL. Jeffries is Shane Battier without the 3pter and ability to make layups.

In last 7 games when Hill has been a regular rotation player, he has averaged 15.4 points, 10.7 rebounds (4.7 offensive), 6.1 free throw attempts, and only 1.2 turnovers per 36 minutes of action (averaging 22 mpg). And he's scored at a 60.6% true shooting%.

    I'm liking that production.

d'antoni has never developed rookies, I mean look at the suns...can you think of any player they drafted that really worked out for them while he was there? You can say they never had good picks. Well niether do the spurs but they seem to add something valuable with all their late round picks(especially that scola guy).

anyways he does not seem like a coach I see lebron wanting to play for. Lebron is a smart player and knows the value of defense just like mike brown.

anyways my point is d'antoni is an idiot and can thank steve nash for his contract...like many others

I was going to comment on that. Battier has missed many a layup, in addition to being a shaky ft shooter.

ps. JJ was great in the 4th quarter. I never seen so many consecutive charges by the same defender in the same quarter.

    How about this little comparison:

Chris Bosh 2003-2004 per 36 minutes
    10.2 shots a game for 46%, 4 free throws /g at 70%, 8 rbds (2.7 or), 12 points, 1.1 ast, .9 stl. 1.5 blk

Amare Stoudemire 2002-2003 per 36 minutes
    11.6 shots a game for 47%, 7 free throws /g at 67%, 10 rbds (3.5 or), 15 points, 1ast, 1stl, 1.2 blk

Jordan Hill 2009-2010 per 36 minutes
    12 shots a game at 46%, 4 free throws /g at 70%, 10 rbds (4.6 or), 14 points, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1.2 blk

The Knicks Chick calls Dantoni "Mr. Pringles." That Jordan hadn't been showing him anything in practice makes me wonder; Adelman seems to have picked right up on Hill's abilities.

I don't care what D'antoni's strategy is, obviously, Hill would have made the Knicks a better team THIS YEAR. I wouldn't say the Rox have developed Hill, they just played him with the skills that he already had been wasting on the Knicks bench.

I watched the interview in question on the Knicks broadcast and I didn't think he was blasting Hill. He was saying that he'll play good rookies and won't play bad rookies in response to someone saying that he doesn't like to play rookies at all. He was saying that was silly and that he had nothing against rookies. He also specifically said that in Hill's situation that it was nothing more than a numbers game, that there were 4 or 5 players that were ahead of him. I think this may be getting a bit blown out of proportion.

I agree. It's kind of the way of the NY media fanning flames out of nothing.

The media hauls keys to the misunderstanding the way TMac hauls keys to victory.

I have not seen many of D'antoni's knicks much before today's game, with that being said, I think he is a horrible coach. His team is so undisciplined, plays soft and no defense. Seriously, does he even run any plays. All they do is spread the floor and shoot as many 3's as possible. He's not a real coach.

He can thank Nash for all of his success as a coach.

"I don't like to play bad rookies. I like to play good rookies," D'Antoni said, explaining that Hill was not showing enough in practice to warrant playing time ahead of the Knicks' more established frontcourt players. "I do like Jordan. I think he'll be a nice player in the league, but that's as far as it goes."

Is he bad rookie, is he ?? I guess you wouldn't be saying that after tonight's game.

Maybe he isn't bad rookie, maybe ur just bad coach don't know how to get the best out of ur players...
