I can not stand the guy, but, if he were on my team, I would flip flop faster than anyone could sneeze.

I don't think NO wants a PG in return for Paul -- Collison is the successor. If the NJN had offered Lopez + #3, I'm sure they would have gotten a lot further.. but it doesn't make sense for the best player returning to NO to be a PG, they already have a pretty damn good one waiting in the wings.

Portland seems like it has the pieces to get Paul.

Various picks/Oden/Batum/Miller (expiring)/Przybilla (expiring) for Paul/Okafor (albatross contract) seems plausible.

I think Pritchard is first using Rudy and $$ to move up in the draft to get more valuable pieces they can include in a future trade. I highly doubt they pick someone to keep from this draft. From all that I've read, it seems like they want to win now.

There's no chance at all Oden/Batum/Miller/Pryzbilla would trump, say Brooks/Budinger or Hill/Battier/Jeffries in terms fo value right now.

OKC probably wants to unload Emeka on whoever makes an offer for Chris Paul. Aaron Gray does a good job playing center for them for less than a 10th of the price.

    Hornets trade:
    CP3
    Emeka Okafor

    Rockets trade:
    AB0
    Jordan Hill
    Kevin Martin
    Shane Battier (expiring)

This is the price for Chris Paul.

    CP3 / Lowry
    Budinger / Taylor
    Ariza / Jeffries / #14
    Okafor / Scola
    Yao / Hayes / Andersen

Emeka can help reduce Yao's minutes at center.

I heard one rumour that they could send Emeka to New York for Eddy Curry(whose mamoth contract would finally be expiring), of course as CP# mentioned, he would want out if he believes they aren't willing to spend enough to win a championship.

Brooks vs. Oden.. you have a point, but you still cant count out Oden.

Miller, who would be a pretty good backup. Batum, who is a dam good role player. Pryz, assuming he is healthy.. dam good backup (or even a decent starter)

    vs.

Budinger, who is coming off a pretty good rookie season, but is overrated by our fans. Hill, who is also had a good ending to his rookie season, but no way does our package beat PDX's...

All 4 of their players have been regualr rotation players(Starters).. Only one from our package that has been is Brooks. Budinger and Hill have the potential, but who's to say they will maximize it... (Even though I hope they do no matter which team) I just feel a fan that we overrate our players too much

You do realize that any CP3 trade would inolve Okafor too, right?

Neither of the trades you proposed give up enough salary, and Houston doesn't have enough capspace to absorb the salary.
