[ESPN] Casserly confirms Young out of the picture.

I did point out in my next paragraph that Bush is not gonna be able to do the same sort of things at the pro level he did in college. Neither guy is gonna break as many long runs, but Bush is gonna be able to gain 6-8 yards on a LOT of running plays. Unless Young's arm is better than I think it is Bush>Davis more than Young>Carr.

And both these guys have a LOOOOONG way to go before they deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with Earl Campbell.

I've learned that the majority of this city is ok with the team taking someone other than vince young. That handfull of people who are not, however, yell the loudest. They call 610, they put ads in newspapers, so it appears that houston may be losing a lot of fans, but the main core fanbase is still here, we may lose a few stragglers here and there, but like in life, thats natural selection, the strong fans will survive and only make the fan base better in the long run.

 

People were calling in a being rude and disrespectful to Casserly, Lance handled it well IMO. These rude and obnixious people do not represent the core of the Texans fan base. Hang up on em.

 

So, we can expect the same indignation from you when people bad mouth CC here?

I'm not running the show around here, so no. If Clutch wants to, he can, but not me. The radio has a few more rules than a message board on the internet. Are you saying it is ok for Lance to allow people to call in and attack casserly and be disrespectful towards him?

What are the rules? Other than no cursing on air? People are disrespectful all the time on the radio. If you're not willing to let people say something directly to the person, you shouldn't be willing to let people say the same things about that person when they're not on the air.

 

Anyone else think it might be ironic if Bush doesn't pan out and Carr continues to be a bust, that Casserly would have blundered not ONE number 1 pick but two?

I don't know about ironic, idiotic definitely. the only thing keeping me interested so far is that this is almost like a slow motion train wreck the we are in the process of witnessing

So, since VY will probably not be drafted until pick 6 or 7. Are the GM's of the first 4 or 5 teams that pass on him idiots as well? Or is it just Casserly?
