I found it kinda weird and out of place to see him react angrily to the suggestion that the Texans might select Mario Williams. His reaction was feisty and unprofessional. Wow.

What is up with that? Does he have a beef with Mario that we don't know of?

You do not have to wait that long. KAS13 has reported that the deal will go down on Friday for Bush. IMHO, any true Texans that truly wants to win and win for a long time will clamour for Williams.

But oh well...I wonder what the motivation of some of the so called "Texans" fans here is especially those clamouring for Bush. I hope it is not to spite those on the opposite side - the focus should be on winning and Mario is as good as they come in helping us out in that department now and for a long time. There will be plenty of good RBs next year - heck we have more than enough in DD (injury prone or not).

    I rest for now.

Well most of yall are reasonable on the sun-setting VY hoopie, but DaDa...man, I need some help. Some of yall grab his legs, while I get the rope, bind him up good and pull him to reality...He is starting to sound like he spent too much time in the sun...

I actually like this post. I disagree generally with the take, but the post is about the subject matter and not about people who take one side or the other and doesn't bitterly proclaim the end of fandom. Just a genuine "I believe they're really blowing a great opportunity." That is an opinion I can respect, even though I don't agree.

I agree 100% with your take of VY
If DD is on the roster and healthy he just might beat Reggie out as the starter at some point, at best I think they will split playing time.

Best thing Casserly can do at this point is trade DD before Dominique embarrases things further.

I am trying hard to get pumped over Bush, and I pray he becomes an every down back that gets his 100+ yds and those 4 and 1 carries that keep drives alive.

I watch Reggie's highlights and dream of him tearing up the league, then I watch tapes of his games and wonder when is he going to break at least one arm tackle.

Reggie is the best back I have ever seen run until he gets a defender's hand on him.

If the job of being a moderator is too tough or tasking for you, the best thing to do is just quit. Good leaders do not complain about people they are charged to take "care of". This is not communist China or Cuba where the government can arrest you for quiting - this is America and you can step away from all of it and allow someone with a stomach and pateince to handle it without complaining take over. There is no harm in being a regualr poster.

    Just my 2 cents.

I have to agree with Da Da's post as well. If the Texans were desperate for RB I could understand taking Bush but thats not the case. I just wish they would take Vince, Mario or trade the pick.
I just have a feeling they are destined to become a team of mediocrity.
They are still a young franchise and they still need to nurture these fan allegiances, unfortunately they are failing that and are making it tough for some people to be fans of them. (Hard core homers excluded)

    A little dramatic, don't you think? He's a moderator, not a leader.

No kidding. I was disappointed that there were no Mussolini comparisons, either.

If a moderator is not in a leadership position then I wonder about the education system you passed through. Wonders shall never end.

Okay lets scratch the leadership talk since it is too much for you to comprehend - if a moderator is going to complain about the trappings of his "responsibility" what is the point then of being a moderator? Why not quit? What is the point of highlighting all he has gone through since January? To gain sympathy from us?

Some of you here are way too soft and exhibit way too much herd mentality for my liking.

    Life goes on anyway.

Wow, all I said was you were being a bit dramatic about a moderator criticizing the quality of the forum lately. You responded by questioning my education, my comprehension skills, and then you insulted the posters here for having a herd mentality and being soft. I count 4 personal insults. Don't you think that's a bit dramatic?

And what was the point of that, to gain sympathy? Maybe you should quit as a poster. Don't worry, Pol Pot won't come after you.

Hey, I think Castor does a great job, he may not agree with me, especially about the Astros, but please respect that he is in here doing this on his own time.

    RoxRan,

I am not just a Vince fan, I have just seen the future (might as well call me Nostradomus) and it is Vince Young baby !

Knock this self-important melodramatic b.s. off pronto. It's a flippin' sports forum, not the Model U.N.

Day 2: Just one day after hearing the news about VY being officially out of the Texans mix, things are slowly starting to fall apart. I fear that this is just the beginning... :D
