The most irritating thing about this whole mess (well, maybe second to all the whining) is the polarization.

That is correct, and I said that he wasn't. I said the Texans aren't even considering him. Should they have? I can't say, but after signing Carr, they weren't. I don't want to be labeled as a VY hater, because I am not. He deserved the heismann. Maybe if the Bush housing scandal proves true, he will get it.

you know what sucks about not drafting VY?
Vince grew a big Rockets fan.

Obviously took the lessons of disrespect and heart from the Rockets championship to help Texas beat USC.

when Texas was down in the last moments, Vince knew the lessons learned from Robert Horry, Maxwell, Cassell, Kenny, Dream, Rudy T.

Also when Bush won the Heisman, he showed Reggie up in the Rose Bowl.
    Like DREAM did David Robinson.

Good luck Vince in your new city, we Rockets fans will " Never underestimate the Heart of a Champion"

actually, them not drafting vince is the reason they will never be like the oilers to me. bud is a maverick, the oilers were known as the rebel franchise. the texans just do everything safely.

McNair needs to retire. Let VY play.

I remember when the Oilers drafted McNair. IIRC we should have had the first pick (worst record) but expansion Jacksonville and Carolina drafted before us. Remember when preseason games were blacked out so we had to wait till 11 PM to watch them. Ahhh memories.

In all likelyhood, McNair will be released, and will sign with Baltimore. IF, Tennessee drafts Young he'll be on the bench behind Volek for at least a year.

With the VY hoopie a mirage, I invite all those with burnt orange sunglasses, to the Reggie Bush glow...No slamming on yall or pie in the face. I am a Reggie Bush advocate from the get-go, but now is the time to hold hands, drink the Reggie Bush kool-aid, and imagine how explosive we will be and how Reggie Bush will do so much and make other players better!

My expectations is an improvement to 8 wins and then some thereafter (you heard it here) It will be FUN!!! :)

They still don't have me like the Oilers did, but that's not really fair because I LIVED AND DIED by whether the Oilers won or lost on Sundays. I bled columbia blue since birth and still worship Earl Campbell.

Have you been to a Texan game yet? That changed a lot for me. The games are a blast, except for last year of course. The tailgating is far from 'bland' if you catch my drift.

I won't ever let it go.

I think the Texans are making the biggest mistake in NFL drafting history. To not draft a guy with the tools and freakish skills that VY has is just inexcusable.

FOUR years of David Carr....FOUR FRICKEN YEARS !!!! And the guys has been an aloof loser.

He is a bust, a new coach may be able to get some use out of him....ala Jake Plummer, but Carr is never going to be worthy of a first round pick, he just doesn't have it.

I think that Vince Young is the best college football player in the last 20 years, and barring injury, will be the best in the pros at the most important position.

Also, if Kubiak does not win in the next year or so, and Vince goes to Tennessee and blows up, the Texans will have a marketing nightmare.

I could be wrong, but Reggie Bush is not as big a mismatch at RB as Vince is at QB.

You dare to be great, and I think the Texans are taking the road most traveled, and are destined for mediocrity.

Vince is the most gifted player to come into the NFL at the most crucial position.

Too bad the home town team is gonna screw it up. A lot of us old Oiler fans would have had a reason to jump on board, now, we are just going to watch this train wreck and laugh.

    DD
