Great scoop. A full MLE deal for two years would not be out of line. He will have a lot of suitors, and the MLE will be his fair market value.

Do not want, I like what I'm seeing from Hill and that would just take away from his minutes.

I didn't know that either. Last year, he went to an Astros game and didn't use the VIP entrance. Nobody knew who he was, but they just kept staring because of his height and his entourage. I wanted to ask what he was doing there, but I didn't say anything and just smiled as I scanned his ticket to let him into the game.

Hill can backup Scola, Camby can backup Yao. If we can sign Chuck for cheap, we'll be 3 deep at PF and C with him and Andersen. It'll also be a lot easier to limit Yao's minutes...and I imagine we're going to be VERY careful with him through at least the first half of the season.

It's a moot point right now anyway...we have no idea what kind of deal we might be making in the summer and who will be going out.

Why not? He has a chance to play in his hometown and has a chance to win a ring with us.

4 Mill for 2 years is not that bad and is quite reasonable for him. He already is paid and Portland won't have use for him when Oden and Joel come back.

Assuming we re-sign Scola and Lowry, we should go after him hard! There were rumors of us going after him at the deadline, but LA was asking for too much. Why not try again?

Camby would be a great pickup. A backup center of his caliber is just what the Rockets need. It would be a big step toward to a championship.

If we can't get Bosh...then Camby is the best option.

Just what Houston needs...another Injury waiting to happen....

On the positive side, I'd love to have him as a backup.

Booyah! Who cares about our catastrophic recent history with the LLE if you can get a player like Camby at that price? Sure, being a Rocket + the LLE stigma is a tough obstacle to overcome in the bad luck/injury department but I'd definitely be willing to roll the dice on him for that amount. Hell, who wouldn't?

No way Camby takes LLE to come here. Joel Prz just re-injured himself and Portland will give him way more than LLE to backup Oden next year.

My theory is to split MLE to Camby and the draft pick and then re-sign Lowry and Scola. Morey already stated that Les is willing to spend really good amount of money to win next year, and if we can't sign&trade for a superstar pf, Camby is one of the best big guy to backup Yao next year. Good defense, very good size, excellent shotblocker&rebounder who can play at pf sometime, good bball iq.

    Yao/Camby/Andersen
    Scola/Camby/Hill/Jeffries/Pick
    Ariza/Shane/Jeffries
    Martin/Shane
    Brooks/Lowry

Didn't add Hayes, he's a really nice guy but I don't see him in Houston next year, we're just to crowded in C and PF positions.

If this team starts to play tough defense like last year,we can compete with anyteam and I'm pretty sure we'll be better than Lakers, believe me.

4.5 million for 2 years is what Camby wants I think.

BUT if we start to tank and get a high draft pick, then get a youngster with lots of potential, then I definatly see a trade to get a superstar.
