Bad choice Rose, your chance to get past first round just diminishes.

I hope you don't mean championship contenders...They may make the conference semi finals, but that's about it.

And a proven all star, and a proven scorer, and a proven playmaker...
The positive "proven" elements seem to outweigh the negative ones... And dont mention media stories of Mac, we are talking on court

    A proven 2nd round virgin....

I don't think he was wrong when he said "a proven loser". Mentally a loser, always a loser. In his heyday, Tmac was one of the best players in the league and even lebron took his team past the 1st round. There's no excuse for that.

It is kind of ironic that you are saying this every team that T-Mac has ever played for feels otherwise. At the tail end of his career, this is what T-Mac has to look back on despite being a proven all-star, scorer, and playmaker:

    - First round exit every time he actually made it into playoffs
    - Steep fall off caused by injuries due to lack of proper conditioning
    - Burned bridges with every single team he has played for
    - A player who had all the tools in the world to succeed and become the best player in the game, but did not have the dedication or willpower to achieve it
    - Countless of embarrassing media gaffe's that only served to make him less and less tolerable

T-Mac has all the flash and bling that makes a bunch of so-called basketball fans all excited and jump on his jock. Take away all that and you are left with someone who is broken down and limited. He no longer has the explosiveness to beat his man on the dribble, he was never accurate/consistent enough to make teams fear him as a shooter (even more so now that he has lost his lift), and he is too much of a p***y to continue drive it in when his jump shots aren't falling.

Here is what T-Mac still actually has to offer teams if he can get his head out of his ass long enough to get off the pine:

    - Great court vision and passer, which can anchor the offense of the bench players
    - Decent shooter if he chooses his spots and shots properly
    - Great defender if he can be motivated enough to try

What T-Mac needs to do is re-invent his game like Grant Hill and it all starts with his bran and his heart. He needs to realize that:

    - He is not an all-star anymore and is not going to get the PT or pay that an all-star gets
    - He is not the "I" in the team offense, but simply another cog or role player and should therefore look for ways that contribute outside of simply scoring
    - He does not have the athleticism to blow past defenders nor the lift the easily rise above them for a step back jump shot, so he needs to look for chances to cut as well as play much smarter and more importantly, within the system
    - He needs to focus on developing a more consistent shot to keep defenses honest
    - He needs to defend opposing players like crazy, because he cannot score enough to justify his porous defense anymore

How many of your "positive proven" elements are even relevant? What has McGrady done the last 2 seasons? Zippo. What's proven is that he's an injury-prone diva. Other than that, nobody knows what else McGrady will contribute next season. The biggest negatives against him are whining about playing time if he comes off the bench and the likelihood of going down to injury.

When it comes to what positives he might bring, McGrady has to prove himself all over again. If the Bulls sign him, they better be smart enough to make sure they are well-prepared to not have him at any point in the season.

I'm surprised the Bulls would risk the negative karma.

It is not that we are low class fans, but rather T-Mac was a low class star, especially at the tail end of his stay here. Perfect example is Yao. As much as we fans lament and scorn how easily neutralized and injured he is, fans still respect the big fellow for his humbleness, work ethic, and attitude. T-Mac is an egotistical diva and PR nightmare who has burned bridges with every team he has played for. It was tolerable when he could actually produce, but who the hell wants a player that is all talk and no walk? It is funny that you call us "haters" low class when he made fans from three other cities feel the EXACT SAME WAY. Why don't you take off your rose colored lenses and see T-Mac for what he is in the real world. There is a reason why they still boo him in Orlando and Toronto.

Wish him well if he decides to sign with the Bulls. This team has done well this Summer to be a contender in the East. It should be a good race in the East: Miami, Orlando, Boston, Chicago top 4 in the East.

Well they do have a decent point guard/power forward duel in Rose and Boozer. Rose is not as good as Deron but he's getting there. They got above average defenders in Brewer, Deng, and Noah, along with Korver, T-mac, and Gibson off the bench. Pretty good team imo.

With all those positive provens, why did how Orlando and Houston only make the playoffs when T-mac was traded or out for the season?

You don't get that much better after having surgery like that. He's definitely not going to regain his vertical or speed. At best he'll average 15 ppg all of jumpshots.
