I believe Jackson wanted too much control in the transactions of the players on the team. If he had it his way he would be Coach and GM. West a pretty big ego in his own right (deservedly so too) did not see eye to eye on this. West relations with Buss also were begining to strain as Buss sided with Jackson and Kobe. This along with the stress of being a GM and his competitive fire to win made it unbearable for West and he decided it would be best for him to step down.

Remember if it were up to Phil Kobe would be a sun right now and Kidd and Marion, Lakers.

West has made mistakes but most of his decisions are good. He would be a good fit for us but I doubt if he is going to quit the Grizzlies or come to Houston.

It is a double edged sword. It was all fun and games while the Grizz were a laughing stock but as soon as we started winning he has been unable to find a willing trade partner.

Man this seaon has been a series of gut shots.

I'd take Van Chancellor over Van Grunpy right about now.

This is the guy the Rockets need to run thier organization. CD can go to LA and be with Rudy T. West is the smartest man in basketball and he would do miracles in houston. Next game in TC I'll be chanting: "FIRE DAWSON, FIRE DAWSON".
