Yeah, his quote about the opener at the Celtics is pretty ballsy...

He's a blue collar guy who works so hard that he's developed himself into one of the best players in the NBA. His dedication to his craft puts most other NBA players to shame. Gilbert also realizes how good he has it and goes out of his way to put on a show for the fans.

If a player works hard to improve himself, tries to put on a show for the fans, has fun doing it and avoids criminal activity, he's OK with me. That's why Gilbert is one of my favorite players in the NBA even though he is a flake.

Not that I think Kobe would ever agree to play in Milwaukee but why doesn't Milwaukee try to get in on the Kobe sweepstakes?

Send them a superstar in Redd, a player that will always be unhappy in Milwaukee in Yi Jianlian for the LA/Asian market appeal and one other guy like a Charlie Villanueva.

    Kobe/Mo Williams/Bogut/Simmons/D-Mase -- That's a playoff team right there in the East.

Redd, Odom, Villanueva and Yi. They get their marketing tool in Yi and a legit star in Redd to show the LA faithful they can still be competitive. They also get to keep Bynum.

Won't happen though. Just an idea I threw out there...
