I don't buy anything the media says Cat, nada, the only one I am waiting to hear from is Bosh, or I guess Morey.

Also, come on, you are a smart guy, what do you think it says that we have not even been invited to a real meeting with his agent and got 20 mins on the first evening?

Doesn't that sound like someone just being polite to you?

Bosh and his agent, I guess.

Flip it around, what evidence do you have that we are on the list?

Has any team without cap space and not holding Bird Rights been invited to any meeting with any free agent thus far? The answer: no. It means nothing.

Edit: Actually, on second thought, the answer is "yes". The Rockets met with Bosh. No other team without Bird Rights and no cap space has met with any other major free agent, even if it was a bit impromptu. That bodes pretty well, IMO, even if it wasn't an "official" visit up in Chicago.

Yea the only reasons Miami, Chicago and New Jersey, are the only teams being mentioned in s & T is because those are the ones that have the leverage to sign a max player. Not even Cleveland Caveliers have a meeting with Bosh and they are the ones Toronto has agreed to do a s& T. so not have a formal meeting does not mean anything at this point

Rose better than Brooks is debateable. Rose 41 wins in weak East Wth his whole roster and Noah. Yaoless Brooks with small frontline and injured backup Lowry 42 wins in tough West. Brooks might actually be a better winner and thats all that counts.

Exactly. It's the exact process Morey described.

    Even IF you're right, it was a 3 on 3 comparison, not a 2 on 2 comparison.

You actually think Wade, Rose and Noah are better than Martin, Brooks and Yao?

To me Brooks/ Martin/ Yao looks like a much better fit for a dominant 4 who has nice touch from the outside.

All these comparisons are bunk anyway. Games are 5 on 5 and the starting 5 don't play 48 minutes apiece. Our other two and our bench would probably be better than anything Chicago has to offer (especially since they'll have to deal Deng to get enough cap space).

Personally, I think the Rockets' team is better than the Bulls' team, currently.

Would Houston + Bosh be better than Chicago + Wade + Bosh? Dunno, it would depend on what each team would have to give up to get the S&T done, thus not even worth debating.

What I'm saying, though, is how do you know there hasn't been a meeting between Morey and his agent? The things you're saying you heard either through media sources or the things Bosh/his agent strategically told the media. I'm not saying they're necessarily lying, but you can't take this stuff at 100% face value. They're going to majorly promote teams he can sign with straight up, which boosts his leverage with Toronto.

    Rose >>> Brooks
    Wade >>> Martin
    Noah <<<<<<<<<< Yao

This is not a matter of who is best, the question is, in which does CB4 fit better, and that is clearly Houston, because Wade and Rose both demand ball so much, that CB4 can´t put his game on the floor, if you ask me, guys like Amare, and Boozer are better fits, because they can play off the ball, better then actually going one on one, of course he has that mid jumper, that will be crucial, playing off Yao, but he can put the ball on the floor, and finish around guys

The problem is not about where he fits better, it´s about how much does he wants to play with Wade??? Or how much does he want that 6th year???

Hope this film is over late today/early tomorrow

Rose/Wade/Noah are FAR superior to Brooks/Martin/Yao, Yao's injury issues can not be ignored. Ask most GMs around the league who they would rather have Noah or Yao, knowing what they know now about Yao's future, and my guess is Noah wins. Now the Rockets bench is better thus leveling the playing field between the two teams and the fact that Bosh would be the MAN here along with all those dollars China brings in...Houston would be my choice.

So your saying 20-25 minutes of Yao recovering from his foot surgery is better then 40 minutes of Noah controlling the defensive end while cleaning up the glass on the offensive end???

If this was Yao of BEFORE the injury, of course Yao is WAY better but that guy we may never see again.

If Wade goes to Chicago I think we get Bosh. Toronto will demand Noah and Chi will say screw that and go get Boozer instead. Boozer + Noah > Bosh + Scrub.

Plus they get to keep whatever other picks they would have to send out...frankly Boozer fits for them better in practically every way. If they get Wade he should be their first option.

C'mon Wade go to Chi-town. Miami is going to be worse next year than they were this year and you're best years will be wasted!
