Yep, that's way too much to give up for Bosh. I believe that Brooks has become untouchable unless you get a point guard back of really high caliber (like Paul, Rose, Williams). I know people here like to knock on Brooks because he doesn't have the greatest point guard skills in the world, but you don't trade this guy away just for the sake of trading him away. He is a player you can get value for. As much as I love Lowry (moreso than Brooks) we have to be realistic that Lowry wouldn't just fit into the starting line up.

The reason he has so much energy to exert every night is because he only plays 20 minutes per game (with an occasional 30+ minute game here and there). You make him do that every night as the starting PG for 35+ minutes a game and he definitely won't last the whole season with his reckless abandon style. Plus, if he doesn't develop that three point shot, the lane will be clogged up for Yao to do his work.

based on what? based on that Morey isnt out there twittering every hour? or that Jerome Solomon or Jonathan Feigen have been blogging otherwise?

NO ONE except for Morey at this point knows how good of a chance there is that we end up with Bosh....not Broussard, Bucher, Feigen, DaDakota ;) , Rileydog, Clutch....no one.

Maybe we get him, maybe we dont....but there isnt one news report out there that has Morey saying that our chances are not very good. If that happens, then im with ya...but until then, keep the faith

Don't think even Cleveland would take BOTH Calderon and Turkoglu, and it's impossible for Cleveland to match salaries for all three without annihlating their roster.

Perhaps Jamison, Gibson, West, Hickson, and a couple draft picks for Bosh and Turkoglu (They pretty much have to give up either Jamison or Mo to make salaries match). That's about the only way I can see it working out.

LeBron stays in Cleveland - trying to recruit Bosh there

Wade stays in Miami - he too is back trying to recruit players there(outside chance to Chicago if he cant get anyone to Miami)

Bosh doesnt appear to have interest in Houston. Cant force a square peg into a round hole. This is of no surprise though. Houston a longshot to begin with.

chadfordinsider LeBron & Bosh want to play together. Bron would prefer Cleveland. Bosh prefers Chi, Mia or NJ. Who persuades who?

How is that any different than what most of us knew and suspected for days? Yes, we know Houston isn't Bosh's top option. If it was, he'd be here right now. It comes down to whether one of the cities that he most wants can make a S&T work for the extra $30 million. So far, it hasn't happened.

I think we all know Bosh would love to play with LBJ in Chicago, Miami or New Jersey, if the money is equal. That question still isn't answered...

Morey is not going to come out and speak on this situation until it's resolved. Did the NY GM have to come out and say Amare was coming? No, we all knew from internet reports. And if more than one source has said Bosh to somewhere other than Houston, I'd say out chances our slim. But keep hoping if you want, you're just going to make it more disappointing when it's official.

I wonder if these are the same ESPN sources that had all 3 big free agents playing for Miami....or Joe Johnson going to the Knicks.....Or Stoudamire coming to Houston....or Lebron going to NY....or Chris Paul being traded....

    Its called grasping for straws.

So far , NOTHING that ANY source has gotten a scoop on has happened...NOTHING

    Cleveland...yuck....

The only thing they have going for them is Lebron, but having to be in Cleveland stinks.

This could drag on for a while yet.

I'm wondering where is NJ in all of this. Toronto would have to take Favors plus TE for Bosh.

Query - would NJ do it? I think not. My bet is that the Russian and Avery johnson would value Favors + Boozer/Lee over Bosh. that's true with or without Lebron.

Query - would Bosh go to NJ without Wade or Lebron? I think no, thus no media leaks coming out of NJ.

I guess i just answered my own question - but it's a possibility, at least in theory.

Depends on LeBron. I do think NJ would value Favors + Boozer/Lee over Bosh, but LeBron wants an immediate superstar to help him win NOW. And if NJ has to make that sacrifice to bring in LBJ, they'd do it in a heartbeat I think.

In Russia, subterfuge is just a standard business practice.

If Toronto does get TE's, how would they use them? Aren't they usually used to get overpaid players from teams that need to move them?

u are taking the Morey going public thing too literally...my point is that the Rockets/Morey are never in the public eye in terms of trade rumors etc on those espn insider things...and now is no different. Just bc you havent read about it on the internet, doesnt mean that nothing is going on between us and Toronto or any other team

i don't see how a cleveland SnT works without the raptors taking on a contract. maybe they can figure out a way to involve jamison, mo williams, calderon, and turkeyglue and make it a really convoluted deal to save the raptors some long term money.
