He could have continued talking with them and worked on a sign and trade option, but he just walked away.

Either way, he did walk away from a 6 year potential deal.

I just wish that were true in many if not most of the cases. More's the pity...

But the point your missing is their owner wasn't going to try and work a SnT for Amare... He doesn't want to take back that much salary. He's a cheap owner... So Amare had no choice but to walk away.

But he did walk way or was force to walk away from a six year deal. Everyone views it differently.

Raptors would begin the discussion with requiring JJ Hickson, compilation of expirings, and maybe draft picks. Raptors would insist on ofloading Turkeyglu and Calderon's contract. That gives Cleveland a chance to offload Delonte I-boinked-Lebron's-mom West.

Cleveland has been all in with Lebron and its not going to stop now, not if dealing for Bosh will keep Lebron with the Cavs. Also, if properly motivated, Turkeyglu and Calderon can actually play and help Lebron and Bosh.

A lineup of Calderon, James, Jamison, Bosh and Varajao, with Turkeyglu and Mo Williams off the bench isn't bad at all. Not sure if there's enough dfense there, but very potent offensively. Much better shooting around lebron, and Calderon can handle the ball.

It's up to Bosh. if he's willing to go to Cleveland, and cleveland is willing to eat those contracts -- and I say they are, Toronto has to do this deal.

Offloading those contracts would be huge in a rebuild. High draft picks would be better but that's the next best thing.

"Raptors have told Cavs they would do a sign-and-trade with them for Bosh. Cavs and LeBron working to convince Bosh to join them in Cleveland"

Nice try by Prokorov....he didnt get to be where he's at by being dumb. He knows darn well that this type of declaration will stir all sorts of crap. Its probably some deranged last ditch effort to sabotage Bosh going to Mia...or Wade going back to Mia for that matter.

Funny how Bosh said that everyone was waiting on Lebron, and it seems that the reality is that everyone is waiting on him.

Pounce is one word. I prefer the word vulture. Same thing, either way, and Morey's very good at it.

What could the Cavs possibly have to offer Toronto for Bosh? I bet that source was from Cleveland...

Yep, but you may never get the grade A top choice meat with that strategy, sometimes you have to just go all in.....which is what I think Morey is doing with Bosh.

i just realized that my prior post would have cleveland taking on Bosh's, Turkeyglu's and Calderon's contracts, an astronomical sum. to do so, they'd have to ship out a lot of garbage.

i don't think they have enough expirings, so it would probably be only Turkeyglu's contract. That might require Toronto accepting Jamison, which is a shorter deal.

Thats what i'm saying. Just found out that Brad Miller and David Lee have the same agent. Getting those two together would not cost a bundle and you can keep the team that we have together.

They used that touch screen on Sportscenter to look how free agents could be signed and they did Bosh today and used us as an example. The deal included Battier, Jeffries, Brooks, and the NY draft pick for Bosh.

Morey is much smarter than that.

After all this waiting crap, i'm starting to feel that Bosh isn't even worth a Jeffries trade.

Whatever the case, doesn't look like Bosh is coming to Houston.

The Rockets are not all in. Chicago and Miami are all in. If they don't get at least 1 big guy they're screwed. Chicago less so, but it still won't be good.

Us on the other hand, if we don't get Bosh we roll into next season with a 50+ win squad loaded with young players, draft picks, and expiring contracts. February may be more fun than July.
