The question is, what does Bosh really gain by joining wade in miami? Their chance of winning is way lower than Chicago and Houston. It shows that he is not into winning at all.

No, they are not lying, but they are not talking about the entire picture......

Because by saying that they can only sign for 5 years, and not 6, they do lose out on $30 million of guaranteed money, ON THIS CONTRACT.

But, when they get their next contract they make up for it, and if they get an ETO contract, where they can re-up after 3 years they can more than make up for it.

But, that doesn't make for as big a story as one that says "In order to leave without a sign and trade they have to sacrifice $30 million dollars"

    Sensationalism sells.

They could but nothing is guaranteed in professional sports. What is guaranteed tho is that extra 30 M on the 6 yr deal.

Yes, but at the age of 25, Bosh can opt out at 28 and still get another max deal.

He may not be willing to do that, but it is an option, and the risk is minimal.

I am glad he has time to think this over. Him and his agent need time to think this over. These fantastical dream scenarios with Wade and Lebron dancing in their heads have clouded their vision for so long they lost focus on their goals. Thats winning and money. They lost both goals and its smacking them right i the face with Rockets, Yao, and Chinese crowd while his other super free agent makes max money in Chicago. The other huge market place. Two gargantuan cities with big followings seperating their incomes and maximizing their fanbases for each individually instead of letting one dwarf the others potential all in one city. This guy his agent might not be playing with a full deck aumed at making money the right way. No sound individual would pass up the keys to China, Houston, and Chicago and can call themselves a competent agent for his clients. Got to be a brother in law or uncle or something like Andre Johnsons former agent. Go to be.

That last year is important. Just look at Shawn Marion. He went from making 18 mil the final year of his contract to making not even 7 mil a year.

Once your perceived value has dropped say good by to big money.

Whats funny is? His agent. Rationalizes them togtehr is better than them apart? He says because wins? Then he has the perfect opportunity to get Wade his money in Chicago and also add Boozer there and still win. Then have his other guy come here at full max and still win too and maybe his top two clients meet up in the Finals against each other with all of China watching and Houston and Chicago. This guy? His agent who doesnt want him talking to us? He is gonna lose his client max money and then might even lose Wades max money too. They might both sign in Chicago for the 5 year max losing them both a grand total of 60 million dollars. Then on top of that? Might not win it all still? They could get Max in Miami still though. Wont win there. Ultimately losing them money that way too sense they both flood the same market as two superstars in the same place both not winning. They could grab some headlines for the first part of the season in Miami though and turn it into Taco Bell commercials with Chuck and Kobe and Lebron puppets. Until they fail to do anything in the playoffs.

Really? Didn't Lebron just opt out of guaranteed money? Didn't Wade opt out of guaranteed money? Didn't Bosh opt out of guaranteed money? Didn't Pierce opt out of guaranteed money? Didn't Dirk opt out of guaranteed money?

Ok, I think you get the point......think about that for a second when thinking about the validity of that $30 million number the media is tossing around and tons of people are falling for....

I don't see where you get those numbers.. This year (2010/2011), they have $48 million team salary, if they renounce Amir Johnson, Rasho Nesterovic,
Antoine Wright, and Patrick O'Bryant. If they sign all those guys, their salary is about $63 million. In 2011/12, they have $37 million team salary by renouncing Reggie Evans, Marcus Banks, Marco Belinelli, Sonny Weems, and Joey Dorsey.

Anyhow, if they sign and trade Bosh for that trade exception, they can renounce any or all of those FAs, and use the TPE to trade for a pretty nice player - doesn't have to be an FA.

Wades covered. He has got T Mobile, Taco Bell, Yao says " eat the head." He has got shoes and magazine covers.

Toronto might prefer a TPE that they can use this year, but they can definitely use extra cap space next year, when they are scheduled to be a big FA player. They can get their team salary down to $34.6 million next year.. it wouldn't hurt them to get that even lower.

Yao can get Bosh in on them funny commercials. Two tall guys walk into a place type jokes. Isnt Yao in some other commercials? I forget. I can definitely see Yao in some Taco Bell commercials with the little Chihuahua dog and Bosh on the other said. It gets scare looking up at Yao and Bosh saying "Yo quiero Taco Bell?" in a nervous voice.

Ya bc they're all healthy and demand max money. This might not be case in the future.

    Why didn't Yao opt out ? ;)

I know, but that is entirely the point....the 6th year is not as relevent as the media is saying, now is it?

And they will ALL make more money...all of them.

They get paid less over the first 5 years too.

Bottom line is that Bucher reported that "Neither Bosh nor Wade is taking less than 6 yr, $120m. Nor wd you". It's important to them and their agents. It has nothing to do with the media.

    ROFLMAO !!!

So, Bucher is not "The media"?

Look it doesn't matter, we don't agree.

At the end of the day we will find out......what happens.

    No biggie.
