Leave Chris Bosh Alone!!!!! Just kidding. Seriously folks, I don't begrudge him for being picky and taking a few days to decide his future. Honestly, if I were Bosh, I wouldn't play there either. The money's right, and you have a great chance to win, but it's Lebron's town and Lebron's team. He's been places with that group and I'm just another guy. He would outshine everyone, including Bosh, in any city, but more so in his home town. Folks would think that Bosh's biggest contribution was to help keep Bron home. If I'm Bosh and I pair with Wade or Bron, I know I have a 3 to 5 year window to win championships. that's enough time for Miami to build a supporting cast. I'll be there from the beginning of the rebuild, so the guys will respect me too. It's Dwade's town, but he isn't the supernova that Bron is. There's room on the podium for me too. I think Bosh is a smart and pretty worldly guy, having lived in Toronto for years expands his horizons. I don't blame him for wanting to live in a world class/reknown city. I love Houston but this isn't it. Houston's ownership and GM is right, the money's right, and the team could be tops in the West and challenge LA. But it's the city. Star players want to win it all, on the biggest stage. Bosh could win it all in CLE or HOU, but they aren't the biggest stage. If it comes down to Houston/Max Money vs Miami/Chicago at 96MM, I think Bosh rationalizes it and leaves money on the table, figuring that he'll figure out a way to recoup that after ETO after 4 years. Heart will win over his head in this decision.
Miami? great place to live if you like oil on the beaches and Hurricanes every year. Also not as rich in sports history as the Rockets. Cleveland? Please.... Come one now. People. Some of us underselll Houston to these places because we have humble citizens compaired to these places. Not me though.
Arent they going bancrupt in Chicago. Go look up Chicago and a city dieing on the internet and see howmany buildings are empty and people leaving the town.
are you saying kobe doesnt get easy baskets and neither does bosh? their fore bosh=kobe? bosh has proven already that he is a second fiddle player, a team with rose, bosh and noah as your best 3 would be quite talented, but i could easily see all their egos getting in the way as soon as any type of pressure is put on that team. team chemistry is big part of a successful team. which is another reason i dont think we should give up 2 to 3 of our guys in our rotation for this soft, never proven anything player. al jefferson has proven as much as bosh in the last 4 years of their career. bosh needs to go somewhere where the brunt of the pressure is put on a leader, ala gasol succeeding when he got la.
Actually type in 25 of the most dangerous cities to live in on the internet. When you reach the site go find Chicago has 4 of the top cities in that list and Houston has none. Then its has the second most on that list too.
Lebron just said he is making his decision and it will be sent to all cities on Thursday. Thank you for blessing us sant Lebronwith your presence. We will be waiting till Thursday which means so will Bosh and so will Wade.
well considering the heat have been around roughly 20 years less than houston, and only have one championship more than than the heat...and that miami had arguably the greatest quarterback of all time play in their city, as well as an mlb team with multiple championships, and dont forget the miami hurricanes not sure your spot on with this assessment... i think houston has had just as many hurricane scares lately and the oil is hitting texas now as well, id say your not spot on here either... ill agree the people off houston are probaly a little more humbler than miami citizens, but that doesnt seem like bosh's personality.
Miami is not a major market team compaired to the Rockets. They arent just because they are around those other teams. They won one Championship for the Heat and havent won anything since like us. They have no history with teams in the Finals after that like we have before with the Celtics and beating the Lakers. Miami is a great place. I have been there. Not much better than Houston. I can get beaches up and down the coast of Texas. Florida is not all that. Went there for SPring break ws nice. Been to Galveston and other places in Texas for Spring Break and have had more fun befor. Its just not that logical. Its only Wade and then its Chicago because it might be Wade there too. After that? its nothing because Chicago is not glamorous except for sports if its with Wade there. if its not they are the 41 and 41 Bulls who have one less win than the 42 wim Rockets who missed Yao. We didnt get covered last year because nobody thought we would be that good without Yao. You overplaying these places. They arent special. They are just other cities that I have been to and come back to Houston happy to be here.
Georgia is nice place too. Been there and in Atlanta. That city looks nice. Doesnt get much press though because its not Chicago. Whatever tat means because Chicago looks like garbage. At least New York is a legit hype job. Chicago is not better than Houston.
Screw Bosh, what a drama queen. Taking a week to decide is freaking ridiculous. Chuck Hayes would never wait this long to accept $100+ million. JUST SAY NO TO BOSH!
the guy said houstons sport history is richer than miami's, i argued why i disagreed. plus bosh can join the heat with the player that lead them to the championship, its not like bosh is gonna be joining hakeem or ralph sampson. i love the rockets but our history does not attract players like a boston or an la. some players may say that when they get here buts that just pr. come on get real, maybe you dont think miami is special but im sure bosh knows wade is a special player, a player worthy of gutting our entire team for. like ive said before yao is not a guarantee next year, neither is the rest of his career.
This is looking better for houston day by day. Lets just hope he chooses the money over playing with wade...
Thats fair but Wade and Bosh alone wont mean Championship. They will be worse than the Rockets. They have no bench unless they convinced them to take less and get Lebron. Which is cool if they like to gamble like that. i am down for athletes being a refreshing change of wanting to win more than money.
Pretty much. People are clamoring over him and when things don't go as planned and the heat comes down because you're the highest paid, how will he react? Its not about winning with him and thats why I like a guy like jefferson that hasn't won alot bringing that hunger to the squad.
From a pure fit and opportunity standpoint, Bosh was the right target. Think of all of those wide open looks Scola gets in Adelman's system. Bosh would be great. His length and outside shooting would be a nice compliment to Yao. It was a long shot, but worth the effort by Morey. Jefferson may well be plan B. He's a nice low post scorer and rebounder, but he's undersized, has an injury history, and is a poor defender. I don't think his game meshes well with Yao. I bet Adelman can make it work. I would like to see Morey go after Josh Smith if he can nab Jefferson.
