I'm soured on Bosh. The guy has a chance to have his cake and eat it too, a max deal AND LeBron, and he gets picky on the setting. Are these players grateful for anything?

I'm pretty sick and tired of all these games bosh is playing. Just pick a team already. Bosh is such a drama queen, if we have to trade a combo of budinger, hill and scola, plus knicks picks, I will be very upset.

Who the hell does he think he is? He is clearly a second tier player acting like a superstar.

With that being said, I would still like to have him play for the rockets, eventhough we will have to put up with his diva attitude.

Sources: Raptors OK with Bosh to Cavs
    By Chris Broussard
    ESPN The Magazine

Everything is set for Chris Bosh to join LeBron James in Cleveland. Everything, that is, except Bosh's approval.

The Toronto Raptors have told the Cleveland Cavaliers they will do a sign-and-trade with them for Bosh, according to several league sources.

The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.

ESPN NBA insider Chris Broussard says he thinks LeBron James is leaning towards staying in Cleveland. Chris Bosh wants to play with James but would rather do it in a bigger city than Cleveland.

Both James and Bosh are aware that such a trade is possible, and James has tried to recruit Bosh to the Cavaliers several times in the past few weeks, according to sources.

But right now, Bosh remains cold to the idea of playing in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are hopeful that will change, because in Cleveland, Bosh can meet two of his top priorities: playing with James, and getting a six-year, $125 million contract.

If Bosh joins a team without doing a sign-and-trade, he will be able to sign only a five-year deal worth $96 million. He is determined not to leave that $29 million on the table, according to sources.

Although Bosh wants to play with James, he wants to do it in Chicago, Miami or New Jersey. Sources say he has told the Raptors those are the teams he would like to go to in a sign-and-trade.

Bosh also could play with Dwyane Wade instead of James in those cities.

Toronto, however, will not cooperate in a sign-and-trade with Miami, which has no players in whom the Raptors are interested, according to sources.

To move Bosh to Chicago, the Raptors likely would ask for Joakim Noah, though they could perhaps be persuaded to take a package that does not include him.

The Nets would seem to be able to put together an enticing package for the Raptors that included rookie lottery pick Derrick Favors.

Chris Broussard covers the NBA for ESPN The Magazine.

LOL at all the people flipping out about Bosh being picky. And God forbid he takes more than 5 days to make the most important decision of his career.

If you were a top 10/top 15 player with the ability to choose from a half dozen places to play, you'd be doing the same thing. And if you could make $130 million playing in Chicago, Houston, Miami, or Cleveland, you sure as hell wouldn't pick Cleveland. Especially when Chicago and Houston have just as good of a chance at winning.

Adrian Wojnarowski (via Twitter) with what I hope is some of his usual credible info:

He would have the greatest chance of winning joining the Cavs. Sorry but there is no guarantee when it comes to Yao Mings health, and our season relies solely on the health of yao, whether we get bosh or not. Chicago just snuck into the playoffs, so he can either join the team that won 60 plus games and had homecourt for the playoffs, or the team that snuck into the playoffs probaly only because he himself was injured down the stretch?

Good stuff. Maybe now things can start dying down and players will begin to make their choices.

Given that Cleveland is in cap hell, I wouldn't necessarily say his chances of winning are the greatest in Cleveland.

Besides, it's Cleveland. Rust belt, dying city, etc. etc, I would have no interest in working there. In a decision this critical to Bosh, the chances of winning are on factor, money is another, and actually not playing in a dump like Cleveland is obviously another factor. Totally on the "everyone's so impatient right now and just WAIT" for now.

If we get Bosh, he becomes the #1 option. It wouldn't quite be the 'toss it to Hakeem and get out of the way' offense, considering how Adelman's system works, but he would get the most scoring opportunities. He wouldn't be far and away the FGA and scoring leader of the team (and might not be the scoring leader with K-mart's efficiency), but he's seen how much good that has done him in Toronto.

I would argue that Houston (with or without Yao- more importantly, WITH Morey) or Chicago with Bosh is just as likely to win a championship as Cleveland. Regardless of regular season success.

then bosh doesn't care about winning. it's all about the cash to him.

you have lebron, the best player in the L, and you don't want to play with him b/c of a city? someone needs to slap this fool.

This isn't completely true. IMO outside Miami, all of the teams Bosh has been linked too are capable to contend for a championship by adding Bosh.
Miami is arguable because that team is so depleted.

If you can get $130M + A championship contending team + Nice city
    or
$130M + A slightly better championship contending team + Crappy city

You obviously think about it, especially if your entire family and yourself will have to move+live there for at the least 6 years..

How are we going to get past the lakers, without yao ming? Is bosh going to all of a sudden become a supreme post defender and clog up the lanes? We will not get past the lakers without yao ming playing great. Yao presence inside the paint it vital for this team on offense and defense. Bosh provides nothing but weakside help, he is not a great one on one defender, he is serviceable at best.

Chicago would have decent chance, but should bosh be the only key acquisition the bulls land, who is going to be the leader on that team? Bosh has proven he is no leader, if he was he wouldnt have one winning season in his entire career. The cavs would still be the favorites, with or without bosh as long as they hold on to bron. Who cares if the city is as you say dieing, Bosh will be making his max contract and if the city is in fact in shambles you say it is in, then I would assume the standard of living is dirt cheap.

As long as your sporting Bron and Bosh on your team, whether or not your in salary cap hell youll be the favorite year in and out. They have their 6th man in Jamison. A decent pg in Mo, players will want to go their to play as well.

Put it this way, you have a chance to play with best player in the league, you dont turn it down. So what if you live in Cleavland for 8 months a year. Your on the road half the time. And when your in town, you can focus on what matters most and thats winning, not what kind of night life your gonna have. Unless ofcourse you can join Wade in Miami.

I have lived and worked all over the Eastern half of the U.S. This is what people think of Houston and Texas: 1) about 25%, I figure, of people in Dallas hate Houston, even though there aren't two more similar cities in the country, as far as I can tell. 2) It is not uncommon for people to think of Texans as hicks, or maybe excessively proud. I mean, maybe 5-10% of Americans. 3) Nobody else has any opinion of Houston whatsoever. Keep in mind that I've never lived in OK or LA; they might have opinions of Houston.

All this for a possible albatross contract that'll bind him to a team and maybe make him untradeable. He better be a damn hard nosed boy scout for whatever team he goes go.

Cleveland is thinking FINALS. Seems to me Bosh knows he cant go over there and just skip to just the 2nd round to keep fans happy. He might can do that in Miami and Chicago, certainly the Knicks. Maaaaybe Houston.

Not in Cleveland though. Championship or bust. I'm thinking thats making him as hesitant as anything.

What really is this leader winning record nonsense, Lebron is fairly unique in that he's a heavy lifter, so was a young Shaq, players who consistently simply grind their teams to win after win, to do this you essentially need a physical presence that can create easy buckets that no one else can, Kobe for example despite all his talent isn't that type of leader either (would you like to post the post Shaq-pre Gasol LA record when Kobe was leading a team as talented as Toronto or should I?).

@Chris_Broussard Bosh has not softened stance on Cleveland at all. Looks like he won't be a Cav.

I agree there. However Chicago Glamour? Is there such a thing any more? Chicago is the armpit of Ameica right now. Its dead city with a dieing economy. Half the city is empty nowadays and you would be surprised how good Houston is compaired to Chicago. As far as living conditions and if we have enoug nightlife and classy people and rich upper class people for Bosh to hang out with? Chicago might have some elites still but Houston is on par with Chicago. Chicago is all story and past history now that doesnt exist the same. The sports history maybe? Houston is a better city and Chicago is garbage. i have been there recently.
