Obviously DM is more comfortable with his plan B and/or who we have now than you are. :p

Gotta trust the guy. Can't find to many negatives about what he's done so far.

Only because they have James to look forward to every game.

True and true. Someone mentioned their attendance or crowd isnt good, which is wrong. They have soldout. Though, as you said, only because LeBron. LeBron leaves and they/it go/goes back to being a dump.

So they show up when the team is winning. That sums up a lot of NBA franchises.

If Bosh is choosing teams based on the fans he shouldn't even be considering Miami then.

    Amazing powers of deduction here.

The only reason Bosh will go to Cleveland is because James is there, so the fact won't change. The arena filled up every night.

Lebron will not leave Cleveland. I will put my money on that. Worst-case scenario for the Cavs he signs a 3-year deal with them.
That team is his home, they have dominated the regular season for the past 2 to 3 years and mark this down if Lebron comes back they will make sure he stays by making a ****-load of trades.

You think Lebron is going to arrive in Rose's "kingdom" and start doing his chalk-routine? You think he's going to do that with Wade in Miami? Hell no. 2 Alpha dogs, 2 batman's cannot co-exist on the same team, and they know that very well.

My guess is that Bosh will end up with either Lebron in Cleveland or Wade in Miami. I'll put my money on the later..

Unfortunately, alot of people put Houston the same way they see Cleveland...as an armpit. Bosh is from Dallas, which probably escalates that perception. Everyone on this board knows better than that, but the thing Bosh needs to see is; Houston has more to offer than anyone other team in the league.

He needs to realize how many jerseys he will sell in China coming to the Rockets. On top of that, he has a guaranteed All-Star spot for as long as he is on the same team as Yao. Endorsements will not be hard to come by. Don't underestimate the power of the Chinese!

What's more; Texas = No income tax, a cheaper housing market, close to home, etc etc etc. The last 500,000 threads have gone over and over the on-court advantages so I won't touch that, but suffice it to say, Bosh has chance to win, be "The Go-To Guy" and get fabulously rich in exactly one location. Houston.

True I saw a picture of one of their games and it looked like the crowd for an NBDL Game.

Like ProfessorJay said it doesn't even matter what Cleveland arena looks like when Bron wasn't there because the only reason Bosh would sign with Cleveland is to play with LeBron.

I dont see how they got this perception of Houston. Thats the furthest from the truth with the Rockets. They are a premiere organization with a huge history in the NBA. While that historyy may not be Chicago, LA, New York(what have they ever won?), or Boston? It surely is in that category right around them. We beat New York in the Finals. W faced Boston in the Finals, Beat LA in the Westren Finals, Beat Orlando down there in Florida in the Finals, we have beaten all the major teams in playoff games and we have been one of the mainstays of this league. We have along history that I dont understand the free agents perception on Houston. The Mavericks are till a second class team as far as history to us and organization wise. Thats the just the truth. So I dont see why that perception got out there to Bosh and his agent. They must not have ever watched basketball growing up? There is this guy named Hakeem. He was one of the greatest ever in the history of the game next to names like Wilt and Shaq and Kareem playing here. There is this game named Yao who made history for another nation here in Houston. So if Bosh thinks thats second to Miami? A team who has one Championship and zero history before thet? Thats his and Wades opinion alone. Miami is gonna continue to be below the Rockets in the playoff standing for eyars to come. The Rockets always build Championship contenders and playoff contenders in every year except injury years.

    Agreed...

Beasley has the LOOK of a great deal, great physical features, had a nice game coming into the NBA...without that bud and depression thing, IMO TOR would really consider that move IF it was really being offered.

I've known a few people who didn't live in Houston, went there and didn't like it...but the large majority of people I've known, especially from my military days, when we would come home and bring out of towners, they loved Houston.

To be honest, only MIA would be a real place to live situation that was better than Houston IMO, MIA is most def a hot city to live in and have a good time.

Chi is cool, but not like MIA or LA, Houston IMO having lived in MIA, LA, NY, Chi, NO, Philly, PHNX is only behind MIA and LA.

But as you pointed out, Bosh being from Dallas, might not see any real interest in being in Houston when compared to being in MIA.

Now that I think of it, it's going to be really really tough for Bosh to land in Cleveland. Why?

Because I think Lebron WILL NOT go back to Cleveland for more than a 3-year contract. He wants to try and go back, win a championship really quick so that he paid his due dilligence, then hop off to an improved... Brooklyn Nets. Favors and Lopez will have improved, same can be said for Harris and they will have some great new players with Russian Badass.

On the other hand... Chris wants that 6th year MAX. Will he go to Cleveland if he knows Lebron could leave him alone in that crappy city for 3 years? I doubt it.

So for Chris Bosh to go to the Cavaliers, he's going to have to:

1- Want to live in CLEVELAND (which right now he does not)
2- Make sure Lebron signs 6 years as well
3- Make sure the Cavs get a true starting C (not easy to come around in the league) to allow him to play PF
    4- Where will Jamison go?

I think there's a smaller chance to see Bosh in Cleveland than there is one to see him in Houston.

As of right now, I think its: 80% chance Bosh+Wade in MIA (especially if they acquire Haywood), 20% chance Bosh in HOU...

PS: One thing that is important is that everyone is saying that Miami has nothing to offer in a S&T. Thats not true, they have one of Toronto's picks, and being able to control your own destiny (aka have your 1st round pick, tank if you wish) is extremely important for a team that has the desire to rebuild.

Why would Lebron go back for only 3 years, if he doesn't want the extra $30 million? He can sign with the Nets now.

I'm not disparaging the Rockets organization or their history. They are one of the smartest franchises in sports. It's the city that isn't seen in an extremely positive light. I'm looking at this objectively. I love Houston, but it is very hot and humid and you don't get the "mystique" that you get with cities like New York, Chicago, and Miami. Maybe Bosh has a positive impression of Houston (being from Toolsville, I doubt it), but it isn't exactly a tourist destination.

I assume what is happening with the Rockets is that Morey has put a value on Chris Bosh and is not going to move from that position. He will give Scola, Ariza, Hill and a pick (or something along those lines).

The Raptors came out with their statement that none of the offers they received are good enough so they are not going to do a sign and trade. Then, they announce that they are willing to do a sign and trade with Cleveland. In my opinion, this is only to get the Rockets to add more to their deal (like additional picks). The thing is, I believe Morey knows exactly what he thinks Bosh is worth and isn't willing to go over that value. The good thing is, the Rockets are a formidable team if they make no major move, so while they would like to add Bosh, they aren't going to go all in for him. If Bosh decides to go to Cleveland, Morey can take his assets and try to work out a deal for a player like Al Jefferson, or Gortat, or whoever. The Rockets have plenty of assets that other teams covet and they aren't desperate, so they don't have to over pay like New York or the Hawks.

Stays loyal to his team, city/town now. Gives him 3 more years to try and win it in Cleveland. If not, he can take his bags then and head elswhere(he'll be 28 by then, going on 29.) I could certainly see him signing a 3 year deal. Maybe not the likely situation but I wouldnt rule it out either.

IMO, he can't leave his hometown like this, even if he deeply wants to, he just can't.

Imagine if your this big star, and your playing in YOUR city, the place you grew up, dreamed about playing when you were a child. Now you finally have that chance and almost brought glory to your city. Yet, he has failed.

This franchise is DOOMED without him, and he knows it.

Therefore, I believe he will go back to the Cavs to try and win some rings. And once he's done that, he will be able to leave with his head up, or simply re-sign once again if he wishes too.

From a business point of view, its very intelligent, he'll be 28 by the time that new contract expires and will still be able to command the max and max years.

He can then leave Cleveland as a hero, or as someone who said "I tried" and focus on being a billionaire with the Nets.

Oh and PS: Lebron joined twitter today, and he is getting approx 1200 followers/MINUTE. By the end of the day he'll have more followers than media freak Chris Bosh who was begging for followers for a contest with another player a couple of years ago..

this guy is a joke, if he really doesnt not want to join the team with the best regular season record and mvp. not sure why people think this is better for us, what makes houston so much a greater a city than Cleavland? crappy baseball teams? check. crappy football teams? check. (i know the texans are on the verge and hope they can break through this year, but we all know the history) atleast in Cleavland with all the attention Lebron gets he can national attention as well. Now with the Rockets hell get the attention of Chinese media, I love how some posters think that is such a huge selling point, its actually just gravy on top, if that.

Cleavland sells out like every game, while the Rockets couldnt even sell out during our historic 22 game winning streak until the last few games. (If memory serves me right)

Obviously Bosh wants to be in a glamor city with the spot light on him. Ala New York, Chicago or Miami. If he wanted to win he would sign with Cleavland right now. (SnT)

I for one can't wait till this guy who has proven nothing in his career other then being as good as Al Jefferson fades into the dark.

I agree with your logic, but Cleveland as a city is so miserable that I don't even know if it's worth it when maybe he can win elsewhere and still make the extra $30 million. Granted he won't spend a ton of time there, but still...
