Our proposed package is Scola and one of Ariza/Battier. We'd likely have to give up draft picks as well. Losing Scola hurts, but if we get Bosh it'd be a bit redundant, especially if we're keeping Hill and PP. If they work a deal with us, it won't "gut" our roster.
On ESPN it also just stated: "Toronto will not do a Sign and Trade with Miami due to a lack of interest in their roster"
So thats a negative on Miami, unless Noah's included Chi-Town is a NO and Bosh doesn't want to play in Cleveland...uhmmmmmmmmmmmm who does that leave???
This is a good scoop for Houston. Now let's just hope Miami gets impatient and signs Boozer (along with Wade), and Bosh can then mull between Cleveland and Houston.
New Jersey! But seriously, one thing worrying me is that Bosh might warm up to playing in Cleveland w/ LeBron. But then again, it looks like there is less and less for us to worry about as the days pass.
This is how I was hoping they would feel. Miami has nothing to offer but a draft pick and Michael Beasley ... so even though Toronto doesn't have to take back matching salaries from them, there's just not a lot of incentive for them to do a S&T with Miami. With Houston, on the other hand, they can get multiple draft picks and a couple of solid young rotational players, even though they would have to take back salary. At the end of all of this, I think it will come down to us and Chicago (regardless of whether Wade goes there or not). I just hope he likes us better.
Colangelo playing hard ball? I hope so....there is ABSOLUTELY no reason why Toronto should want to deal with Miami over Houston. They have nothing to offer the Raptors. If Bosh wants to play with Wade in Miami, let him go on his own, which takes the 6th year off the table.
Bosh will end up playing in H-Town as it looks. Toronto does not want anything Miami has to offer and Chicago does not want to give up any of what Toronto wants. Bosh does not want to go to Cleveland but as always can change.
What has LeBron won? Has the Cavs organization done squat around him since he got there? They just now got a real coach. You guys act like it's the Lakers or Spurs. The Cavs may be one of the worst run franchises in the league. Talk about wasting a dudes prime years.
come on...if you play for a city...playing 41 nights a year there...you can pretend you live somewhere else...but when you're travelling 41 nights a year to other cities, essentially you LIVE in your team's city. now where you spend your offseason is a whole different matter...and that shouldn't factor in for any of these guys.
and he would be forced to play center for the next several years. He is too much of a puss to play center.
Ok so no MIA and no CLE. That leaves HOU, CHI and maybe NJ. If Wade stays in MIA, you can rule out CHI. NJ has a chance if LBJ goes there.
i see what u are sayin...but fact is, outside of NYC/Miami (nightlife etc) and maybe Los Angeles....you can really make a case against living anywhere. Its not like Houston is some tropical oasis that people wanna flock to...and lets not make Toronto out to be Aspen-east.....im just saying that I think there has to be something else making him not want to go to Clev......maybe its not wanting to play alongside Lebron...not wanting to play center....and maybe some of it is not wanting to live there 41 nights a year....but just doesnt sound like the "i dont wanna live there" excuse is all there is to it
NJ and Houston If NJ offers Derrick Favor's its "Game Over"... that simple But hopefully NJ is really high on him and won't trade him in a sign-n-trade, b/c that's the only real threat.. to the rockets have outside of Bulls(who won't deal Noah). Another thing that may work in our favor is that NJ is in Toronto's division, which may cause them to avoid a trade with them, that doesn't include Favors. --RB
