I was reacting to the statement " Wade by himself won a championship". if the statement is true then he could do better than take a horrible team to the first round. In a conference laden with horrible teams I might add.

They had a very formidable interior presence and defense with alonzo mourning and shaq. I'm eager to see how Chris Bosh will do against the frontline of Gasol and Bynum, or Garnett and Perkins.

My Plan B would be Chris Paul in a S&T... unfortunately I don't think that is Morey's.

From Bosh's twitter, at about 2 a.m. central:

I don't know why Bosh is talking in public about wanting anything, or anybody, to come in his dreams. Too much info, Chris.

I don't think so at all. I never heard him show interest in Houston coming straight from his mouth. It was always second hand reports from sources. Never did he say himself that Houston was one of his choices.

Man, too much bitterness around here. We all knew it was a long shot from jump, so why the anger?

Wade and Bosh might not be a title contender next year, but wade and scrubs got to the playoffs so I don't see why a team of him and Bosh (if both healthy) can't get to the 2nd round in the East. As far as him not being serious about winning, there isn't some magic rule that says if you don't win next year then you aren't serious about winning. Wade and Bosh are 2 very good building blocks for a team. Y'all act like they both aren't in their mid 20's.

I have full faith in Morey to pull something off to help us be more competitive. I think we clearly would have made the playoffs last year if Lowry didn't go down, and I think a full season of K-Mart means Ariza isn't playing out of his element half the season. I expect Chase and Hill to improve somewhat. Bottom line we should be a playoff team with or wothout Yao. No, that's not a title contender but the assets to acquire someone to help the team are still there and don't have to be spent this summer. Just hope for NY to strike out so we can get lotto picks.

I'm cool with them playing together in Miami. It'll make the East a little more interesting, that's for sure.

I'm also glad the Rockets didn't drop the max on this guy...I just don't think he's going to be worth it. After the way the McGravy deal shook out, I don't want us to throw max money at a good player on a bad team again.

Some other posters have mentioned it too...I wouldn't be surprised if Bosh spends significant time on the injured list this year. He seems to get hurt every year, we just don't always notice since he was in Toronto. He'll be in a spotlight now, so we'll get to see how tough he is.

Agreed 100%. Bosh, just like Wade, Lebron, David Lee, Brad Miller, Chris Duhon and numerous others, are free agents. The whole point of being a free agent is that you are free to choose where you want to go and what salaries you'll agree to. If he wants to work with his buddy, great, best of luck Chris-- except when the Rockets play you.

Bosh, by the way, is not doing anything the Rockets or any other team woudln't do-- looking out for their own interest. If he indeed signs with the Rockets, and the Rockets happen to have a chance to trade him for a better player, you don't think they'd do it in one second?

Can't blame him. Miami's got women and the beach. Houston's got freeways and the ship channel.

If you have $130 million, you have plenty of money to build an offseason home there. I do blame the guy for being a basketball player and making a decision that, assuming no LBJ, makes absolutely no sense from a basketball standpoint. He's clueless on what it takes to win. At least he'll get what he deserves, I suppose...

i hope the rockets get a better recdord than the heat so than bosh realizes that if he signed with the rockets he would have a better chance of winning and going to miami was just plain ****.

    This.

Hope he has fun sitting around for two years while they try to fill out that roster with decent role players, AND missing out on $30 million. I would not have blamed Bosh one bit for choosing Chicago over us, but it takes a TEAM to win in the NBA and Miami is not a TEAM. They might get one or two more decent free agents, and the rest of the team will be scrubs.

This just tells me that Bosh is not in it for the success and just wants to have fun playing in the NBA. If that's the case, I'm glad he's not coming here.
