The Heat team will be like JVG's Rockets. Yao and McGrady, no one else. And we've seen time and time again role players are just as important as one star player.

Shaq was nowhere near the same offensive powerhouse that he used to be in LA.

He averaged 13.7 points and 10 rebounds a game. He was no more than a role player. Wade had a top 3 finals performance that year. He absolutely dominated the Mavs.

Wade averaged 34.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.7 steals -- and this in a slow-paced series (neither team cleared the century mark in regulation in any of the six games).

The second part I can agree with. Lack of role players is a pain in the ass for the team, but I'm pretty sure they can get some solid veteran role players who are looking for a ring or a chance to win.

@pacmania, did you miss the last two seasons? Wade took a completely horrible team to the playoffs two years in a row.

The Mavs got whistle whipped into submission, it was gruesome.

I'm glad it's over. I think the way he handled FA was pretty immature. Same goes for Bron and Wade.

Next step for Heat: Acquiring a starting C such as Haywood.

Then probably have guys sign vet minimum contracts that are hoping for a ring, but will fail.

    Starting 5 - if no S&T:

    Chalmers
    Wade
    Beasley
    Bosh
Haywood (assuming they trade JO for him)

    If S&T with Toronto:

    Calderon
    Wade
    Unknown
    Bosh
    Haywood

Thats not enough to beat a healthy Rockets team. I doubt thats even enough to beat a Yao-less Rockets.

    To follow up...

I realize that some of these players (like Brad Miller) will make nowhere near what they made last year, but some could make more. You added six players, which puts them at 10. An NBA team has to have at least 12, and almost all go with 15. Either, based on last year's numbers, the six guys you added to the Heat:

    Mike Miller $9,750,000
    Josh Childress $3,631,449
    Raymond Felton $5,501,196
    Udonis Haslem $7,100,000
    Haywood $6,000,000
    Brad Miller $12,250,000

    $44,232,645

Let's say you knock $10M off Miller's contract and you are still at $34M. The Heat have really dug themselves a hole, and I cannot understand why Bosh is willing to jump into it.

I would lulz if Bosh signed with Miami and Wade changed his mind and went to Chicago.

Miami is one injury away from the lottery. Seriously, who is the supporting cast there? Beasley?? I hope they do a sign and trade to further weaken themselves.

I'm sure Morey has something else up his sleeve. Even if he just re-signs Scola and Lowery, the Rockets will be good. Not contenders, but good.

Well that's that I guess. From my point of view it's clear that Miami can't compete with the Lakers. But enough with Miami, enough with Bosh, Wade and Lebron, let's see now what Morey has in store for us, let's see plan B

Also, Bosh didn't play us. He never expressed more than a passing interest in Houston. He's a prima-donna no doubt, but he didn't play Houston.

Bosh will suffer another injury, Wade is breaking down. Miami won't get nothing out of this but wasted money watch how this all unfolds. 1st year they won't have the role players and 2nd year they get role players but one of the two Wade or Bosh will be hurt.

I was reacting to the statement " Wade by himself won a championship". if the statement is true then he could do better than take a horrible team to the first round.

If he think he can win a championship, then he is stupid. They have nothing but scrub players after Wade and Bosh. That's not enough to win it all. I think Bosh is more into lifestyle and comfortness than winning a Championship...fool is craving for attention and i hope nothing but failure for the rest of his career. :)

    Well, let's see.

There was rumor that Bosh wanted to be "the man" on a contender. WRONG (or he settled).

There was rumor that Bosh insisted on a SnT so he could get the most money out of the deal. WRONG (or he settled.)
