Stros in 15! Bonzi! Could this be the best day of my life? EDIT: Next up on TV - an hour long episode of "Mama's Family" YES!!!!!!
I just ran through the house doing a silent fist pumping cheer because my family was watching TV and I didn't want to disturb them. They were like "wtf are you doing?". I honestly didn't think it would feel this good.
being contenders all comes down to chemistry and how well we do when injuries come. every team goes through injuries but the good teams, the contenders, sustain them and still win......we have the talent to give anyone trouble just pray for good health for everyone
Just gotta get my WOOHOO! in before this thread really blows up. And for all you Houston fans like me who are getting really excited by Bonzi and the Stros, just two words: Reggie Bush. That should calm ya down a little. 'Night, all.

My guess is this: 1) He didn't like/want to play in Sacramento anymore, decided to move on. 2) He decided to just play this upcoming season for any amount of money available on the market (which is not much outside of Sac-town), opt out after this season and go for big bucks. In a way, this is good news for the Rox, because he should be motivated, it's pretty much a chance to audition for potential buyers.
If true, this honestly makes this one of the better offseasons we've had, which is unbelievable considering how it started. Obviously trading for TMac and drafting Yao was the best, but adding 2 very solid veterans was a good move for this team. The addition of Spanoulis and Snyder could add some needed energy off the bench. Anyone think Snyder can play some SF behind TMac, we're loaded with guards right now. WHOA. This is a big time coup. By far the biggest coup of the summer. My playoff expectations just went from second round to finals.
At the end of the season, if anyone had said we were going to add Bonzi Wells and Shane Battier over the summer, most of us would have said, "Oh, sure... fat chance of that!" Amazing. As has been pointed out, we still have the TE. YES!
ASTROS WINS IN 15th !!!!!! BONZI SIGNS WITH ROCKETS!!! what's next huh?? what's next .... TEXANS WINS THIS SUNDAY?????????? ...................... nah
I'm cautiously optimistic...and this won't make us instant contenders. Bonzi is a knucklehead and JVG can't turn water into wine and doesn't even want to. What Bonzi gives us is a Plan B if Tracy goes on down again for a long period of time, we won't have to rely on relatively young inexperienced players to shoulder the remaining scoring load from Yao. A bunch of you guys were jumping up and down when we got Swift saying he was our PF answer, this has the same feeling to it, Bonzi maybe more talented but his knucklehead factor is higher also. Didn't Bonzi and Tracy get into it one time a couple of years ago?
I would say put this one on hold til tomorrow to avoid "extreme disappointment." I want more confirmation before buying. We have all been waiting for this, but the ESPN article strikes me as bit tenative. I am going to wait. Have a great evening. Tomorrow will tell the tale. And remember the Astro game is early, it starts in few hours.
