to not even bump the roxs up a bit is just wrong...I hope this motivates the ROXs that much more....Everyone wants to label them as the biggest potential superstars that fail miserably.....And all you can do is show them. Heck, even after a championship, I can just hear it.....they can't repeat, they can't defend their title etc etc
Just ran across this article dated today (Sat Sep 30): Quote: " In other team-related issues: _ The Heat is still talking with free-agent guard Bonzi Wells, but the organization is holding firm on its plan to never go over the luxury tax threshold. "It's really up to him," Riley said. Wells averaged 13.6 points last season for Sacramento, and 23.2 points in the Kings' six playoff games. " The link is here: http://www.casperstartribune.net/articles/2006/09/30/ap/sports/basketball/d8kcrgk00.txt Maybe the article is old, but mistakenly dated to today? Hope Bonzi is not still talking with other teams.
Are you really searching Wyoming newspapers for insight on the Houston Rockets? Are you concerned that the newpaper for a city of 50,000 located a couple thousand miles away has information the rest of us don't? Just checking.
Headline in a 2009 newspaper: "The over-hyped and so-called Houston Rockets dynamic duo has failed miserably in their attempt to win the third consecutive NBA title"
Good question. I found this checking on: http://news.google.com/ with the keywords "Bonzi Wells". Why am I checking? Just like most of you, I am antsy waiting for Bonzi to sign on the freagin dotted line. Man, the first time in my life I can't wait for Monday.... Arrghh!
I'm holding my breath...I've already started a whole new wave of $h!t-talkin to Spurs and Mavs fans...
Win-win for Bonzi This is why Bonzi decided to sign with the Rockets : 1) TMac's health is the big question. Can he stay healthy ALL season long. 2) If the answer to 1 is yes, then the Rockets are contenders and Bonzi gets to have an opportunity to play on a contender and show his stuff come playoff time. 3) If the answer to 1 is no, then guess who is going to be getting lots of shots? ... Bonzi + Yao will be our 1-2 punch! Either way, it is a win-win for Bonzi.
haha. let him make a post man. he wants people to know how he feels. how would you feel if your opinion was on page 6 and no one quoted you.
Look at the title of the thread. I thought somebody was already suggesting a trade for some unknown Asian player or something.
Riley revealed Tuesday that the decision to return was easy, saying he quickly realized the defending NBA champions would be best-served with him on the sideline he said it on last tuesday. read between the lines, homeboy!
friend just sent me a txt sayin that bonzi is at the texans game lets go!!! the contract will be signed tomorrow!
excellent first post. i agree 100% i've said all along that houston will be the best overall choice for him this summer. the heat may go farther in the postseason, the bobcats may be able to offer the most money, the nuggets might have been able to offer the largest role to fill, but the rockets had a little of everything.
I can't help but think that, because Bonzi has made it perfectly clear that he intends to hit the free agent market after this coming season, that the Rockets will have a huge hole to fill at that time. Do you think he's just playing this game in order to get the Rockets to make him an offer he "can't refuse," or do you think he's going to be a one-season wonder? Is he strictly a paycheck player? Any thoughts?
