    Hmm...

After killing JVG, Dawson and Les all off season, I don't see enough credit going out to them now for recruiting and landing this guy.

O well. Love the move anyways. Can we now removed that punk'd shiznet from the front page? There was obviously a plan the whole summer and trading Gay has actually been the right move for the next few years.

I hear that they are going with this lineup:

    C: Yao
    PF: Howard
    SF: Shane
    SG: Tmac
    PG: Rafer

wells 6th man.....but im sure they are going to mix things up a lot with the flexiblity

The signing isn't official yet, right? Is the only source Ric Bucher talking to Bonzi's agent? I noticed in his article that he never actually quoted the agent saying that Bonzi will be with the Rockets next year.

Is it possible that the agent only gave a strong impression that Bonzi will accept Houston's offer, to try to fish out a better deal elsewhere?

Let's be real here. Getting Bonzi was not part of some long term plan. He fell into our laps and we took advantage of it. Still I do give them credit for having a good off season and not giving up.

I am actually not too exited about Bonzi Wells signing. He is a very solid player and perhaps better than any Rox players other than T-Mac and Yao.

But he is kind lazy and he has altitude issue.

It is a short term plan and I hope it works out.

I agree...He's a lot better than not getting anything but we really needed a solid PF.....I'm just weary of how he and tmac will coexist

now are we done? or are we going to make any other moves...we have kinda like a jam at the guard positions now, there are 9 signed guards on our team i believe:

    alston
    wells
    snyder
    head
    vspan
    jacobson
    azibuke
    lucas
    sura

Doubt it. It WAS about the money with him, there just wasn't a better deal out there for him. No one was going to give him big cash this offseason because no one but Charlotte still had it. So he was looking at a one year deal anywhere he went and the other options may not have been there at all. Glad to have him, but it kind of sucks that he will almost assuredly be gone after one year.

And local sports radio is a joke. Bonzi Wells is the type of aquisition that makes this team a legit title contender and the Rockets can't get a sniff of air time. I guess they have been burned by the Rockets in terms of listeners or something.
