Could this be a part of a carefully arranged deal already? In other words, Portland, another team, and Miles have all agreed to a deal where the other team will sign him for 2 years and stash him on the inactive list and complete another trade for one or two of Portland's assets, say Fernandez and Sergio or possibly Outlaw, Jack??

    Yeah, not real reasonable.

But, Portland is leaving themselves wide open on this deal. And this will prove where Miles' heart is at. If.............he really wants to stick it to them, he will rehab his butt off, get into shape, and get into training camp somewhere. If........he don't care, then game over. And Houston makes as much sense as anybody since Portland screwed us out of Roy a couple years ago.

maybe darius can fall back on his wildly successful acting career.

The thing is that Darius would have to want to be involved in any scenario that screws the Blazers, and he probably wouldn't bother.

Especially as big as he is now.

I never thought so. I never saw the athleticim people talked about. he ran flat footed down the court like chris webber. which was okay for webber, but not for a small forward who was supposedly athletic.

He had a lot of flashy dunks and blocks the guy was athletic

the sad thing was that he was actually becoming a decent role player towards the end of his cleveland days and early portland days got that big contract had microfracture and hasnt played since.

he *could* return to being a decent player if he tries at it, but it doesnt look like he has even bothered to stay in shape the guy is still real young.

If Swift has half the good days the guy had, then swift will be an allstar in my mind, but for Darius- he underachieved. I remember when he used to dunk and pound his head with two fists, and he was fearless, dunked on anybody and would block shots too. Oh well, atleast he got paid to get paid, while in normal America- people pay top lose fat

I don't think anyone hates the guy but just watch him on the court, particularly on defense, he is just not trying hard out there, every night.

2 wrongs do not make a right....we need him to play hard to win....and when he mails it in he is going to get criticized.....

    And he should.

He is the leader of the team (with Yao out) and he is setting a piss poor example to the young guys.

Not saying that it makes it right just that the majority of the league acts the same way but attitude reflects leadership as they say.

Haven't you learned? Tmac can do no wrong in the eyes of the younger members. They think being a franchise player means you have enough highlights for a 3 minute youtube video set to some horrible rap song.

He doesn't have to play defense because when he was in Orlando he threw the ball of the backboard and dunked it himself. He doesn't have to have good shot selection because he once scored 13 in 35.
