I don't mind LeBron going to Miami. He's just making himself Pippen to Wade's Jordan. If Pippen is where he sees himself for legacy, go for it, though he'd need 6 rings to match Pippen.
If Le Bron goes to Miami it confirms that there was collusion between the three and it all happened when players and teams were forbidden from talking about such things. Will David Stern react or not?
This cannot be stated enough. I am so sick of people BAILING LEBRON OUT. Talking about he does not have help. When they running through the league through the best record well. . . HE JUST THAT D*MN GOOD but . . when they lose in the playoffs. . HE HAS NO HELP Can someone besides LeBron get SOME *****ING CREDIT in Cleveland I guess if they lose in Miami . . well Wade and Bosh 'dropped off' so many fricking excuses for why 'the KING' cannot fail getting worse than TMAC - . .. it is everyone's fault but his Rocket River
Are you guys really cosigning this BS? From a guy who roots for a team that has never won squat without at least 3 HOFers on the roster? The hypocrisy of this article is funny. I'm sure he called Pierce a superstar since the titles. What was he before? I think the most ludicrous notion in the NBA is a player getting darted into horrible organizations and being criticized for not elevating them into impossible territory(Toronto/Cleveland) then also being criticized for leaving even though it is quite evident said organization has no ****ing clue what they are doing.
Interesting...Lets see how close the Cavs get to topping the league if Lebron chooses to leave...Also I wonder if Lebron and Wade win championships together, if he would give his team an ultimatum that if they dont make the team "his" instead of the best player in the league let alone the team, that he will bolt. Then demand a trade when he realizes he aint good enough to do it on his own....
It's not that he's leaving that's douchey. I expected him to leave after that failure in the playoffs. It's HOW he's doing it that is mind-boggingly numb, which has culminated in this press conference that has frankly shown a T-Mac style ego and this rumor of joining Miami simply so that a man with his immense style can hang out with his buddies. After all, no one has criticized Bosh for actually leaving Toronto. The criticism has been with his excessive tweeting, with his pandering to the cameras and being concerned about them more then basketball, that documentary, and so on and so on. The same is similar with Lebron.
It's funny. I don't care or know what Bosh tweeds because I don't follow him. Just like you don't have to watch this special. I find it hypocritical that we live in a day and age where HS athletes have selection specials to choose a college but the LeBron show is supposedly too much.
Bill Simmons' Article on the LeBronocalypse This was posted before last night's ESPN TV event "The Decision". It is an extremely long read on the LeBron spectacle but a thought provoking one. I haven't seen it posted here but if it has then Clutch, please merge this thread. Reading it, I thought about how Hakeem, Kobe and Jordan stuck it out here with their teams rather than bolt for the Lakers or another high profile team. Here is the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100708
It was posted but with the Dish out of control last night/today, who knows where it's at. Did we really need new threads for every fleeting thought about LBJ? This is probably the worst I've ever seen on this BBS.
Yeah, I understand that folks here are weary of the whole LeBron mess but this article raises some very telling points. First, about that so-called "pact" between Bosh, Wade, Paul & James. My source at the Mavs told me about this months ago but I was sworn to secrecy. Looking at how Bosh acted during this episode, it was abundantly clear that Bosh had no intention whatsoever of coming to Houston yet look at how much GARM real estate was devoted to tilting at that windmill. I also think his analysis of LeBron is spot on especially the decision to participate in that gaudy TV spectacle. The point I really liked was about how LeBron didn't do what Kobe, Jordan, Duncan and Hakeem did - stick it out with their teams. Had Hakeem done this, there never would have been a Clutchcity here. Now that would really suck.
From the article: I think it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you? That's why I'm holding out hope that LeBron signs with New York or Chicago (or stays in Cleveland), because he'd be saying, "Fine. Kobe, Dwight and Melo all have their teams. Wade and Bosh have their team. The Celtics are still there. Durant's team is coming. I'm gonna go out and build MY team, and I'm kicking all their asses." That's what Jordan would have done. Hell, that's what Kobe would have done. In May, after the Cavs were ousted in the conference semifinals, I wrote that LeBron was facing one of the greatest sports decisions ever: "winning (Chicago), loyalty (Cleveland) or a chance at immortality (New York)." I never thought he would pick "HELP!"
notice that NO ONE is criticizing Wade for recruiting these guys...you're missing the point, i think.
