I'm with you there, I personally don't want either of them. I just want them to play basketball and win and STFU. If I had to take one though I'd take the one that is actually playing defense though.
I agree with you. I really wouldn't mind getting rid of Tracy. I think Artest has to go while we can still get value for him. I was all for Tracy being traded last season, and during the summer when we were actually getting value for him. Now, not so much because it would be a bad deal for us.. IMO Artest's D isn't that great anyways, so ehh
I couldn't care less what Reggie Miller thinks of Artest. You're talking about stuff that happened 6 years ago... Why dont you ask the guys in the locker room who the real cancer is
von wafer, brent barry, tracy mcgrady, artest. wats ur freakin point? tmac seems to be the cancer this year. his prolonged rehab, his alleged dislike of artest (altho nobody else on the TEAM seems to hav a problem with him). maybe the proper question should be, "what HASNT changed between last year and this year?" Rafer Alston (cough cough)
I think Artest is a carcinogen, and McGrady a susceptible cell body. By themselves they have varying results but together they spread cancer. But you might have to remove the whole lump of formed cancer now.
Ron Artest has always been, and will always be a cancer. Nuff said. We can agree to disagree, but I'm pretty sure that there is more proof to show that Artest is a cancer than there is for McGrady..
yeah, thats why Artest gets applauded every place he used to play for except Bulls, and T-mac gets booed everytime he goes back to a former team. T-mac screws over every team he plays for, and Artest busts his ass everynight. Artest is a no-brainer to keep. Playoffs are physical, and people want to get rid of one of the most physical guys, and keep softie T-mac. Why does everybody care about chemistry? We won 22 games last yr in a row and got knocked out of playoffs in 1st round again, but at least we had chemisty. Drop T-mac and this we have chemistry, its called winning games= chemistry. Reggie loves Artest if you ever listen to him call Rockets games on TNT.
For the record, I don't see the Rockets making any moves by the deadline. I'll be sure to avoid returning here to receive some sort of credit for my prognostication.
Why the f**k do you think Artest is the cancer?? What did he do to warrant this criticism?? Oh he "criticizeeees" Tmac for being lazy??? Well he speaks the truth ain't it?? What about Rafer criticizing the team?? Why is not being labeled as cancer?? Ohh...because he's NOT "RON ARTEST"?? Give me a f**kin break!! This bullshyt it not justifiable. The true cancer is Tmac..that fool does nothing to help this team....they ought to trade his lazy injured-prone ass out of here and stop wasting everyone time striving to become a championship contender. I rather keep Artest than lazy Tmac because Artest always ALWAYS give it 100% on the court and he's competitive and want to win....not lazy unmotivated like Tmac.
Here is the situation, without considering any value or options. we all know that Tmac is the problem with his injury. Given Tmac's problem, Rockets would love to trade him. However he got no value and no one is stupid to take him except maybe for his expiring contract in 2010. (which he may be valuable next season). Given our situation, we may be able to package Tmac with someone that other teams may want. At the same time we prolly have to accept a bad contact but at least it's not damage. I am guessing Ron would be package along with Tmac.
I really dont want to see the Rockets get rid of Artest. One thing we all know is he will bring it 150% in the playoffs.
Now that McGrady is done this season (one way or the other) I don't get why Morey would deal Artest unless it is a lopsided deal for the Rockets. Yao and McGrady have had four seasons to get on the same page and have not come close but the organization stays with them yet they give Ron half a season (where he was injured) before they pull the plug on him? Talk about a double standard. I know it is not just a basketball decision but the guy has not been given and honest, fair shot to contribute here and it isn't because he is lazy or weak like McGrady has been off and on since his second season in Houston.
