but what was the point? no one said utah could stop him. he made a spectacular shot but instead of just celebrating his shot he went to talking trash to an entire arena.
you're obviously the offended one. you're a lakers fan that registered on a rockets board because thier members are talking bad about you're beloved kobe bryant im not on lakers ground spewing on how dirty kobe is as a player....
The fact that some of you are comparing Gary Payton favorably to Kobe in terms of trash talking speaks volumes. The same Gary Payton who's had players want to physically fight him purely because of things he's said to them on the court. I think thats probably my cue that things have reached their apex. Glad some of you guys were able to take another look from a different pov and provided some insight to your own as well.
He started talking because they were saying some obscene stuff about him and Fisher (rapist, trash talking Fish's daughter, standard Utah fan stuff). So frankly I couldn't care less if someone thinks he was being the "classless" one haha. I registered in April, well before this thread was made. I liked the board because I like a lot of the Rockets players, and always planned on posting, this just got me started. So thats it for that. Last post in the thread though. Good talk.
so he had to stoop down to a utah jazz fan's level? lol o wow yao ming has had so many racial slurs thrown his direction but shakes it off and plays his game, but i guess some people are more mature than others agreed, good talk
Really? So you admire Hitler and would root for him? Okay, let's not go to that extreme. Let say there's a guy named Karl Malone. Do you admire him because he would do anything to win?
Nice posts JackFlag, I share your admiration for Kobe although I am a Rockets fan. Check out this thread if you have time: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=168792
Again I can admire that you are a fan and defend your players but I have seen Kobe Bryant smirk and whine his way all through his career. If you read the NY Times article on Battier they even cited an incident in the game last January where Bryant whined to the ref and then petulantly tossed the ball. As I've said before I don't question Bryant's skill, his hardwork and his dedication. I would love to have him on the Rockets. I also don't know him personally so I have no way of knowing what kind of person he is off the court, although I do find the rape allegation troubling. What I do see is his on court behavior and for the most part what I've seen of him hasn't been admirable. Also I had never heard about him not sleeping while rehabbing but if true I would say that's not very smart. As a coach and former national level competitor myself in martial arts I can tell you that rest is very important to recovery. I'm amazed that Bryant's coaches and physical therapists didn't tell him that and insist that he sleep.
