Possibly, but maybe he'll look at it like he doesn't have to play against Ariza anymore. :D

Players get over these things usually. Artest to the Lakers. Kobe suggesting Nate McMillan as a possible replacement (if what somebody posted in that Dish thread is true).

well, he's apparently 6'4" and 190 but I just don't see it. He's a TERRIBLE shooter from what scouts say, but then again Pete Maravich (who he's being compared too) wasn't all that big either...I just have a feeling, and with the progress brooks is showing, why bench that?

I doubt it. Ariza apologized for that play:

Rudy probably cares about playing time more than anything else right now.

What'll hurt our chances at Rudy is Portland not wanting any of our guys.

    Chinese for "Welcome to Houston."

Ariza is 6'8, isn't he? Pretty lengthy too. I don't mind the deal, contract just seemed kind of big to me is all.

The Blazers were after Ariza, so probably not. Anyway, are we after Rudy Fernandez? I haven't heard anything about that.

If this is the first block in the new look Rockets, I hate it.

5 years for a role player who barely made an impact for LA and still no big man?

    I give this an F+.

hell there is a great chance you are right. but from what i have seen of the kid he is 18 and really good. i think by 22 he will be 3 or 4 point guard in the league.

    just my opinion.

ariza is an upgrade defensively over artest, and would actually be a better fit next to t-mac and yao if both were healthy. obviously he doesn't have the offensive skills to carry a team like artest but I like this tradeoff.
