Looking at that team, it almost looks like we oughta go Golden State and just try to run-n'-gun on everyone. I really don't care for the thought of Chuck playing major minutes for 82 games. I like his hustle and defense, but it's going to be tough playing 4 on 5 at the offensive end. Maybe give Kerr a call and see if he's willing to talk about Amare again. Still no one on the roster taller than 6'9". That ain't going to work nowadays.
Love this pickup. Ariza has got better and better. He is only 24 years old and entering the prime of his career. Plus he is a great defender. I say now you trade Shane and Tracy and try to pickup a scoring wing and center like Kaman.

One can only think if we are giving him the full MLE then Morey must have a trade lined up to get in a center. Throwing only the min around to get a big fella to start for 2/3 if not all season is worrying. Unless we go small ball AB, Lowry, Ariza, Battier, Scola ftw! ha.
IMO, he's Shane's replacement. A year from now Morey's going to talk about all the "intangibles" Ariza brings to the team etc. etc. etc.
I agree, however I think we need to target a solid 2 guard and a player with decent size and post defensive potential...we will be a running team so getcha nikes ready boys!
i hope we trade for rubio now. trade battier and scola for a expiring player or two and high draft pick. use our draft pick next year which should be pretty high. and let mcgrady go off the books and sign joe johnson, bosh, or wade. then you have something like PG Rubio SG (joe johnson/ or wade) SF Ariza PF top 5 draft pick C yao ming comes back for 2011 season. there ya go 3 championships minimum. with several hard battles in the playoffs over the years with portland
