Thing is, the Ariza signing isn't a signing to put us over the top for next year. Had we had a healthy Yao and a healthy TMac coming back to start the season, we probably resign him. But because of everything, Morey has to think about the future now
I believe you. I want to believe that this is just heresay and that Trevor is still coming to Houston. I hope it happens as soon as possible on Wednesday. Thanks
Sorry, if it's already been posted, but Jonathan Feigen just posted THIS to his blog: http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/07/artest_gone_mcgrady_and_yao_ou.html
If we had a HEALTHY Yao and T-Mac we would have beaten LA in 5. I actually think Ariza would be a better fit if Yao and T-MAc were ever healthy. He can actually play within an offense and has no problem deferring to stars. Artest gets to a point in the game where if he feels he hasnt been involved offensively he'll start going 1 on 5.
Thank you Bima...I think i'll rest at night. It's not even to me about "Do you need Ariza?" or "Is Ariza that good anyway?" It's about the Rockets. About another thing not going their way this offseason. If this is who Morey wants, then it's who I want. I think he has a LONG-term plan and Ariza is better for it.
Just curious, but what makes you think Wafer would even accept that type of deal? He's looking for his payday and 4 million over 2 years doesn't seem to be it...especially now since the Rockets have largely ignored him.
it's all rumor. cavs got mo williams on a fat contract manning the shooting guard position. they can't afford another guy like ariza at the SG. he plays the same position as lebron. doesn't make any sense.
Who woulda thunk it? It's a bird. It's a plane. No it's ....................Jonathan Feigen to the rescue!!!
The guy manning the Cyberx account told us this about an hour ago... Guess he is a nice insider for us right now.
so it was a rumor based on nothing at all. guess some lakers fans wanted to crush some cavs fans hearts by making this ariza speculation up by raising the hopes of cavs fans and knowing that ariza is houston-bound for sure cavs hopes would get crushed of signing ariza. nice thuggery done by lakers fans
I get a kick out of your stubborn, "never give up, never surrender" attitude. You are as stubborn as a mule and have your work cut out for you teaching the illiterate and asset-management challenged.
Hypothetical question: If you had 5 Von Wafers on the court simultaneously, could an NBA team run a man press against the Wafers and prevent the ball from ever reaching half court? Vujacic exposed something in Von that I think is preventing him from getting paid. That could also be why he got into it with Adelman. It made him look like he couldn't even play.
When I watched fox 26 sometime last week, Wafer's agent said that no team had offered him a contract but several were interested in him. Also his agent said that Wafer was more likely to take a league min contract from someone else before they took one from the Rockets. Sounds like a lot of bad blood there.
