Florida also has no state income tax, so no tax for Heat and Magic games. You also don't get taxed in Washington but Seattle doesn't have a team anymore so...

I don't buy this at all. I think this is probably some rumor that was spawned off a message board or local talk show that ESPN grabbed and ran with. They pull this stuff all the time.

LeBron James, with some NBA friends, and actor Matt Dillon, dining Thursday at separate tables at Tao Asian Bistro (Venetian), and Trevor Ariza, at Tao nightclub celebrating his move to the Houston Rockets after helping the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA title.

Ariza should do whatever is best for his career regardless of what anyone thinks about him.

If he thinks it would be best to go to Cleveland than he should go...

Never read that on ESPN. I don't pay for their "Insider" though, so I could have missed it.

I really hope he doesn't do this.

This is a good move for the Houston Rockets. They get younger and get to show off all these great young players before the trade deadline to make a big deal with Tmac involved. I hope this is just one of those silly rumors.

Then he shouldn't have committed to playing here. There's no defending him if he goes back on his word. That being said, I still don't buy it

In business the only true word is a signature on a dotted line.

The teams will not treat them anymore than as an asset, the smart players do the same.

I agree...if this was last week. Based on everything he has said since agreeing to sign, he IS doing what he thinks is best for his career by coming to Houston. A man's word is everything...and yet nothing. We'll shall see.

all you have in this world are your balls and your word.

ariza lost his balls by letting his agent dictate his decisions.. now is he gonna go back on his word?

DD, If Ariza pulls out.. would you be happy if the Rockets gave the full MLE to Marvin Williams? Dunno if Atlanta will match

If he's going to be unhappy here then we need to drop his offer now. This is playing out like a High school Boy Girl Drama.

Depends on how you run your business. If I give someone my word, then that counts as everything in my eyes. It defines your character.
