I want Battier around, to teach Ariza a thing or too. So, we will still the same concept a few years down the road.
so you would leave shaq on your team when you have al jefferson? Battier as a player-coach at 7 million dollars per year considering his trade value is way too unrealistic. His trade value means his defense and coaching could be valued much higher on another team and bring better talent into our team at the same time.
Not all bargain contracts are rookie deals. Maybe his net contract is for less than the MLE while still being starter-quality/productive off the bench?
Ireland: "Ariza's verbal deal with the Rockets is shaky and Houston is making a run at him" via 710 ESPN.
CavsWitness on Twitter is saying rumor is Ferry/Brown meeting in LA with Ariza. Deal with Houston not a done deal...
I'm not sure how the Cavs roster fills out. Assuming Ariza is still all about respect and playing time, then how might that affect the Cavs?
Cavs are just making moves to make moves. The Artest to LA thing probably got LeBrons panties in a bunch and Ferry & Co. are just wanting to look busy with secret meetings and what not.
Not Cool... Via @bl4ckm4mb424MVP. http://bit.ly/rXT9N Trevor Ariza might be having 2nd thoughts of agreeing with Houston.
That guy is 100% wrong. NBA players get taxed in each and every city they play in for the work they do there. It is sort of a sneaky luxury tax, whereas states tax uber high paid people for a few nights of work in their state. Ariza would fall under the Texas laws for only 50 or so games a year including those in San Antnio and Dallas. But the rest he would be taxed by each and every state he plays in..... DD
