Fox isn't any better with the incessant talking. At least they aren't talking about Furcal's hardships and drumming up sympathy for a public menace.

I swear, I never thought I'd miss Browny - but he would be better than this.

Jon Miller and Joe Morgan doing baseball are my favorite announce team over anyone doing any sport. Second would be Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Third is Walton and whoever happens to be working with Walton, and fourth is Michaels and Madden.

Yeah but Joe Morgan is always negative when the Astros are playing. Chip Caray has to be the worst of all time.

I didn't really like the commentators on Fox tonight, they sided with the Braves on too many calls.

For one thing Kent was safe on that head 1st dive, Chavez made it to second on that force play bunt by Oswalt and I can't think of any other errors at the moment.

I wish that KTRH would get its act together and sync up their transmission with the TV feed. They can do it for the Rockets and Texans. I mean, I knew what was coming 3 or 4 seconds before it happened in front of me.

well the ESPN crew was pretty bad, but the FOX crew tonight was flat-out awful. I thought it couldn't get any worse than the ESPN fools but FOX proved me wrong tonight. They had no clue about either team and just kept blabbing non-stop about some pointless storyline that their producers told them to talk about. They had no interest in the game itself it seemed.

I would rather have local commentators who know what they are talking about, even if they are biased aginst the Astros, than a bunch of fools who rip on the Astros and have no idea what they are talking about.

LOL Yeah they went to that chick as if they were updating some sort of ongoing game.

Don't get me wrong though I'm going to watch the game tomorrow night.

I really dislike Morgan, but the Fox announcers are worse. Rather have the ESPN crew any day.

I actually tend to like Morgan and the other guy a lot better than the analysts we had for the first few games with David Justice. That was just horrible.

Hmmmm. I thought David Justice was great and generous towards us. I thoroughly enjoyed listened to him because he had great takes and insights. He said so many good things about us to the point I thought he was rooting for his former team (Braves) to lose.

Please you guys hould get off Justice's back.

As for Joe Morgan he is very close to aweful. I can't stand him (well I can a little). I like his partner but Joe seems like he carries a pack of negativity with him always - ultra pessimistic voice of his drives me nuts and he does not even have great analysis, insights or takes for a hall of famer of his calibre.

But in all, my favorite is Jim Deshaies. He alsways makes me enjoy the games he calls or rather "colors". He is well spoken and full of good humor.

It does not really matter to me who calls our games if I can't help it so long as we continue to win. Minimum level of fairness and balance is all I can ask for.

    PS. David Justice was great!!!

For what its worth, Josh Lewin was the guy who said "and now... the Astros LIMP into the NLCS!"

He's the Texas Rangers play by play guy, so you can definitely understand he's got a little envy going... given that its now his team that is one of the oldest (and the only one in Texas) that has never won a playoffs series.

FWIW, the fans over at Card Talk seem knowledgable and classy, just like their organization.
