Enes Kanter... he fits a need and would have the opportunity to blossom under a legendary big in McHale.

Put yourself in a GM's shoes....

would you deal with the Rockets? I don't care what I was offered, for fear of thinking I got screwed, I wouldn't agree unless it was Thabeet for Battier-like.

    Gotta think its Williams.

I'd go Martin + 23rd for #2 pick. Nothing more.

He probably wants to get that pick in rder to trade back down. That way he could still get Jonas and pick up another player that he likes. The rights to Jonas will be much coveted as he gets closer to playing in the NBA.

That would be my guess. I don't see him going after Williams.

sounds more like the rockets are after williams or irving (if he is there) i think that kanter could be still around at #4 - the cavs have shown some interest in trading the #4 pick but this is more speculation on my part of course

And again.....MIN keeps leaking info. I'm surprised they didn't list every scenario from every team. That will go well with other GMs.

maybe. however: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2011/news/story?id=6691980 it seems likely they're gonna keep the pick

Not surprising. Just an hour ago I was wondering if we were going hard for the #2, because that seems to be the only open trading partner in the top 5 and it seems clear also that Kanter isn't lasting past the Cavs.

Maybe he wants to get the two, trade down to four while snagging Varejao and still get his #1 target.

    Hypothetical...

Trade up to 2 and then down to 4. Cleveland gets the first two picks like they want and Kanter gets to the Rockets at 4..

Would depend on what the Jazz want to do at 3. Looks like they are interested in Kanter as well.

When I see David Kahn speak I'm reminded of the villain from Ferris Bueller

I hope David Kahn ends the same way that Ferris Bueller ended

    stand corrected, thanks

i still think the cavs would be open to hearing offers for #4 but its a bad draft really after 2 there is a drop off where you could really shuffle picks 3-7.

So we're going to act like that wasn't Phoenix's fault?

teams like the spurs move up in the draft because they are willing to part ways with Parker. Morey has to offer up a scola or Kmart for the #2. Not twill and jordan.. of course that is our bait.. total trash…

I'm ready for a homerun, i'm tired of singles that morey gives us EVERY YEAR… hope i'm wrong. but at this point it's put up or shut up for morey..

If the rockets get it, i can't see them keeping it. I expect them to trade down and pick up something extra or trade the pick.

no one said it wasn't PHX's fault, but how many more years of nothing can we get before anyone says ok whats the deal..

To me this has to be it for Morey. he has to know if he doesn't deliver he is canned...
