Air Force, Houston to Armed Forces Bowl
Air Force and Houston will meet again in the Armed Forces Bowl.

For the second year in a row, Houston (10-3) and Air Force (7-5) will finish their seasons against each other in the bowl game played on the TCU campus.

The Cougars, the Conference USA runner-up after losing to East Carolina on Saturday, beat Air Force 34-28 last year for their first bowl victory since 1980.

Air Force is the Mountain West representative in the Armed Forces Bowl for the third straight season. The Falcons lost 42-36 to California in the 2007 game, which was then their first bowl appearance since 2002.

Congrats to UH on the bowl, although it's too bad that it's a re-run of last year's game.

Question to tinman: are you not a UH fan? I'm pretty sure UH was repping Houston before Vince was ;)

Be cool to see if Keenum can throw for 6000 yards.

**** that ****. Rather go to the Hawaii Bowl.

Fort Worth? It's too damn close to Dallas.

Wow. All the hubub over UH's season, and they end up in the same place they were last year immediately after losing to Rice: the Armed Forces Bowl vs. Air Force.

Building block. We still have Keenum next year and hopefully Sumlin wont be lured away. We can still build and get stronger next year...

Make a statement and throttle Air Force and build on that next season.

    Good luck, Cougs

Case needs 551 yards to reach 6,000. No doubt that if he hadn't sat down in the 2nd half in the Southern Miss and Rice games that he would get there easily. Hell, he may have already gotten there.

He only needs 385 to break the single season record for most passing yards.

I'm not for running it up on anybody but it doesn't look like Case will be in NY, so for this game I would love to see him stay in if UH is up big just to get to 6,000 and make some national headlines. If they wouldn't leave him in then I hope it's a close game and Case has no choice but to have a huge game. Would be a great segway into his Heisman run next season. BCS busters, 2010!

Wow, image how scary UH will be next year. This year Sumlin laid down the foundation so we are on schedule as a program proving you can win on Cullen Blvd. All of our offense will be back and our young defense should improve.

Sick thing about Houston losing to East Carolina is the ridiculous amount of hype that Houston vs. Arkansas would have received.

    Keenum vs. Mallett

Two dynamic offenses with very little defense to back them up.

    Former Southwest Conference foes.

I guarantee you ESPN would have been hyping up the Liberty Bowl so hard and it would have been top five on all of the bowl preview ranking lists.

Yep. Kinda makes you vomit a little on the inside.

But hey, it's cool, hopefully ECU will be allowed to play with 13 men on the field against Arkansas, too.
