thanks. morey is praising him a lot. the recent public backlash is simply a misunderstand and overblown.
That's not going to convince the detractors. I think the concern for the Rockets is that he's also generally been a low-energy player, and couple that with his lack of explosion its not clear how he may help the team at this stage. He is smart, and he's always been a willing passer. But if he is ineffective running the floor, playing off the ball, defending his position, AND he's no longer a great pick and roll player or ISO player ... that's a problem.
morey did say they should have been on the same page, and they did not. and that's true. he also did say tracy is the only one in the league who can generate criticisms out of wanting to get back on the floor and play. again, if tracy can't do all those things, then he's done. and it's time for him to reconsider retirement, and i think tracy would know whether he's done or not (and i'm sure tim grover would say that to his face - i remember hearing an interview on NBATV with 2 trainers, including grover. grover claims that you have got to be realistic with your clients and set realistic goals. grover claimed he could get tracy back to where he once was so we'll see). but again, if he can't do those things, he should retire.
pile on what? he clearly did say there was a misunderstanding on both sides and they need to get on the same page. and that's a hint to tmac. that's as honest as you can get.
true. lol @ everyone who hates tmac and is trying to blow this whole thing out of proportion and find another reason to hate tmac.
thanks for that. that gives more insights than just quotes from the chron. and yes, it appears tracy will be back by the end of november. from the tone, tracy has been practicing. and when that full practice on 11/23 rolls around, EVERYBODY (adelman, morey, and doctors) will see how tracy play. and from what morey is saying, they just need that one practice to see whether he can play or should rehab some more. but, key phrase: "he's not that far away."
