Dunleavy. Adding what Chase could be or surpass in the future. I think he'll be a perfect fit under adelman's system.

You really think Dunleavy is that good? He is 29 and won't get any better. He is far from a TMac replacement. What we need is someone who can BOTH make plays AND score. Right now, the only guy we have is Brooks. And I don't see Dunleavy fits that bill.

Chase has potential. We'll see how he develops.

Remember, we are not just looking for someone who "fits Adelman's system." All of our current rotation guys fit. But you know that's not enough. We need star talent. If we give up on McGrady, we'd better get someone who can do at least 90% of what he could do when healthy, or we would never be a title contender again.

If he isn't close now then what makes him think he can get somebody 30 six weeks ago?

technically, we don't need that kind of player if we can get a true superstar big like bosh, who fits adelman's offense to a T. he can easily play playmaker at the high post to relieve the pressure of AB.

that's the challenge for morey. he's been able to get good players. but can he get that star?

Will Yao-Bosh duo work out? I doubt it.

Bosh is not a large enough upgrade over Scola/Landry to justify getting him.

yao is not going to be able to play more than 25 minutes with a heavy offensive load anyways. bosh is going to be the featured guy on the offensive end b/c of his versatility in adelman's offense.

however, yao can give us the inside presence whenever we struggle to score (which won't be much with bosh there).

again, this team is already planning for the future. this type of offense is not really suitable for yao (or an unknown tracy) b/c we run, run, and run some more.

Dunleavy has said he considers PG his natural position. On the Pacers he's their best playmaker. He had a horror time under Nellie, as Nellie tried to play him at PF. Lucked out in getting traded to the Pacers finding a system that fits him and to a team having no guards where he got the opportunity to play in the backcourt.

19.1ppg in the season before last when he was healthy.

A playmaker who can create his own shot, plays off the ball, not a volume shooter, and had a break out year under a motion offense.

So assuming he gets traded to the Rockets, when can we pencil him into the rotation? Oh wait, he's an injury waiting to happen. I say nay to Mike Dunleavy.

He's an upgrade over Yao and his reformed foot.

Why do you say he's an injury waiting to happen? Other than last season Dunleavy's been very durable.

You are already getting that out of the 48 minutes at PF w/ Scola and Landry. Who's going to play center and replace yao's 20?

No hard words from Morey on McGrady. He said he understands him, because the guy really wants to be back and he will be back as quickly as his body allows him.
