Could be a solid 4th best player on your team. Pretty good at everything. Not great at anything.

Let's hope Ilyasova chooses to sign with another team. The Bucks are one of the very few teams who could be in the market for Scola, if they lose out on Ilyasova.

Something like Scola for Beno Udrih and the Bucks 2013 1st rounder (lottery protected) would work.

We need the Bucks to compete for a playoff spot against Toronto!

I like Ilyasova, but $9M for 5 years is a bad contract wating to happen.

This is a very good thing. We want the East to be super competitive so Toronto finishes poorly. That means we need the Bucks to finish well instead of choking down the trench like last year. ersan's a huge part of the bucks having success.

I wonder what Bucks fans think about their team's prospects this year. They're kind of like the Rockets of last year--they even have the same Dallybear at center--except they are a bit younger. Ceiling remains low though, but they must be somewhat excited to see what a Jennings Ellis backcourt combo can come up with. On top of that you now have Ilyasova, Udoh, and Henson to make up a very young frontcourt.

OR we hedge our bets and give them Scola for the same pick deal as Toronto!!

(doubt they'd give us the same pick value, but we could perhaps have just top 10 protection on it)

For the people here complaining about Morey's approach of letting free agents like Dragic (and Lee) go instead of bidding what is needed in the market to retain them, the opposite of the Morey method is what the MIL Bucks have been doing-- paying good but not great players long term contracts in order to keep them (Mbah a Mute, now Ilyasova) and signing mid-level free agents to long term deals (Gooden, Maggette).
